Not really. The original of that never really took off here, it only started being a hit when the remix got released.

I don't think Billy will get an OCC credit seeing as the two versions are selling about the same as each other.

I thought it went top 100 prior to the release of the remix?

Nope, it only blew up when the remix happened!

Hmmm that’s not how I remember it, at least the week it was number 70. Looks like the remix was released 17th April and charted 23rd April though!

The remix was released midweeek hence the #70 position, it then shot up to #22 the next week and #4 the week after.
The original was in the Spotify top 200 for a while before the remix was released but as soon as the remix came out on the 17th it was ahead of the original version every day.
Honestly it's hard for me to get much invested in the OCC's crediting when they truncate everything and make the 'power standings' as it were unclear. Is there a lead artist or are they all co-credited on some of these UK rap hits? Who knows! Dan Caplen isn't even credited on "These Days" for seemingly no good reason other than it doesn't fit. They'd do well to just have some full official crediting somewhere on the page (even if it's just a mouse-over) if the idea of lengthier credits destroys their chart presentation.

It's only rumored because Drake followed Ariana on Instagram. :P

Yap and her and Scooter started following him, most of the times it's a sign.

ohhh Lil Nas X is the new #1 in the US!!! Didn't know it samples Nine Inch Nails!!!

So its likely to be anothe The vamp/demi lovato situation (personally no excuse to her not getting credited the remix was the single)

they added Cool to HH

Ava Max is now top 5

Lauv/Troye is track #3 now, highest it's been I think, now that it's out of the top 10 in the official charts...

It's not the same because the Billy Ray Cyrus mix is not specifically the single version. It's closer to Perfect by Ed Sheeran I'd say.

don't think it's the same as Perfect cos there were 3 versions, solo, with Beyonce, with Bocelli

all 3 were being bought/streamed in high numbers so they couldn't do a proper credit, I understand it,

they couldn't credit Beyonce and Bocelli at the same time and only crediting 1 was also unfair

here there's 2 versions being bought/streamed, with or without Billy Ray Cyrus,

so I think it's all up to the label or the occ

but he can be easily added no problem, especially if he's contributing significantly to driving the song up the charts

Perhaps, but the same could've been said before the Bocelli version existed of Perfect. It's still the same principle. This case could also be compared to The Hills by The Weeknd. The most popular download version, for a while at least, was the Eminem remix, but Eminem didn't receive a credit as it wasn't the primary single version. Another example is Alicia Keys' Girl On Fire. I remember the original and Nicki version were pretty well matched on iTunes for its entire run, but no Nicki credit as the main single mix was the original. This is why Billy Ray Cyrus is unlikely to get any credit from the OCC.

Lil Nas X now #3 (BRC version) & 10

big climb for Meduza to #7
