Waiting for 8 years ... and here it is: the comeback album of my beloved pop band. I think it's their worst album ever and I will not change my mind because each and every record

 

made me crazy. Even with their full covered records at least we had some classics like The Dance and all the AUTBF songs but ... they said it's their best record? they're lying, as simple

 

as that. Maybe this one suits more to non-fans but I'm sure will disappoint their hardcore fans badly. Without You is the best track in this album (for me) and each song has maybe 1

 

minute of good music almost all generated by Mark's powerful voice, that's it. So I will leave you alone with this "MODERN ALBUM". Hope you love it & thank you very much Westlife.

 

PS: Hope they will try different sound and working with Swedish guys and my dream is the lads working with Guy Chambers.

How many proper ballads and are they better than 'Better Man'.

 

Please tell me Dynamite is the worst on the album, still angry at that being released. It is just below Lighthouse as the worst song released although at least Lighthouse is okay and has a good middle eight.

I haven't finished it yet but so far One Last Time is close to Better Man as a ballad type of song.

 

I can't comment the rest as I don't despise Dynamite so :lol:

 

Of course its subjective but to be fair to the lads, they say their every album is their best, they have to for the promo. However, Kian did say in that Youtube video he doesn't think its their best album.

Navid, that is not good. I knew it would be nowhere near their best due to Better Man and Dynamite being awful. How have a label managed to ruin my favourite band of all time!!??, bloody joke. They need to sort it out and get a different label for next year, imagine an album of brilliant pop songs from the swedish songwriters etc.

The LOVE song is very cutesy autotuned for their age

 

Traditionalists will love Without You and Better Man the most

 

Another Life is the other ballad unreleased before the full album

 

One Last Time is like the ballad midtempo follow up of My Blood

 

Most of the unreleased tracks are so new to them

Not me, not bothered about the charts..hated it from first listen. The chorus is the cringiest thing I've ever heard! Yellow and green and....whyyy

See, I hate when fans go all dramatic and say "legacy is ruined".

 

Nothing can diminish what they achieved, the legacy still stands.

 

And again, its subjective to think its not even a decent album. I think it is, I like it and I won't feel bad about it. I will enjoy it and nothing will ruin it for me. By some comments here I feel like I should be ashamed for liking it, like I am not a true WL fan or something :lol:

 

It happens, I hated some of the albums Robbie Williams made but I enjoyed the new ones. I wasn't crazy for Westlife's cover albums but I enjoyed what they did in the future. Its not the end of the world.

Lyrics are not that important as a whole in this streaming generation, it's how new, viral and what beats do you have

To be fair, I didn't like the swing album. Just know what they were and it's sad if the album really is that poor. Do you think they will release another one??

Zeze, I havent heard it yet...I may love it but Navid jas me concerned.

Zeze what I'm afraid of is this might bring more division to Shane and Mark fans like what we have seen on Facebook groups. The unreleased tracks are very Mark dominated and more of his style. Shane fans want him to stay solo because most of them only like the traditional songs. They're like if you guys don't support this, it is ok for them to split again. I don't want them to split again.

Leaving out Hello My Love which I understand you don't like it but it is a highlight song which will always be streamed after years to come and will be sung in their concerts for a long time as well...

Don't be concerned, taste is subjective. Navid is my dear friend, I understand why he hates it. He hated Shane's Right Here album and it was funny when we debated over it, I defended it as I really liked it :)

 

And guys, don't worry about disbanding. The boys are here because they want to be together, they will disband because they want to and not because sales are bad.

I think you misread the post, he said Without You is the BEST song on the album.

I loved the Right Here album! It was excellent. I will stay positive.
