That is mental for one store! I was worried it would be mainly preorders but Sainsburys hardly sell cd's. My local Tesco sometimes find it hard to shift any of some albums a week.

Alright thanks for the clarification :P Never lived in the UK and I was thinking Sainsburys as like Target, which is one of the major contributors of CD sales in the US.

No worries

Sainsbury is a supermarket and have a small section of cd's. HMV is the only major supplier of cd's left.

@zeze that's just the summary for future reference. I am posting at the top of a new page most of the time so it will be easier for me to update.

They will be on Strictly later? I thought it's tomorrow?

Newly added guest appearance on Friday, Ireland, Late Late Show

Why some fans have excess CD shipped to them lol and some CDs hasn't arrived on its owners?

Edited by myxxd

It's a nice pop album. I don't love all the upbeat tracks but I do like the singles and some of the others.

The CIN performance was a good first performance of the track.

I don't know why many members here see Celine Dion as a challenger. This Week's album chart was decided by physical sales and not streaming points. I'm saying decided because

by using ticket bundle strategy it was obvious that it would be huge physical sales in favor of Westlife and it is enough to take anyone down so there is no competition and I can

assuring you with first midweek sales data you will see big gap between Westlife and Celine Dion (15-20k).

The thing for me is that they should performs better in digital sales front and down to no.2 and no.3 in both itunes and Amazon chart is very disappointing considering it happened

just in a day of album (comeback album) release. I know those two albums won't count in album chart but still it is not that good.

They're performing well in Apple Music platform as well and the job is done and I think no.1 is more than secured already. The most important thing is keeping up the sales for

reminder weeks of they year. I think they will sell less than Rod Stewart next week so a top.5 finish is very tough. Anyway from now untill Friday you will see the sales of Celine

Dion decreasing drastically and ended up with 30-35k as I predicted last week.

Westlife are still no1 in the itunes album chart arent they?
its going to be a massive xmas seller...Celines album was untouched in HMV..Westlife had loads missing (sold)
  • Author

No the CIN album is #1 which is understandable. Celine is down to 4 on iTunes but she has two versions released this week but yeah they are doing better on apple music they are at #6 now

We will all find out in the midweek. Their westlife.com were not as promoted and active for pre-orders in 2011 compared to 2019. In 2011, people bought their digital albums on either Amazon or iTunes to some extent.

We also don't have rounds of scheduled album signing on record shops like The Script etc like before

Edited by myxxd

Yeah, signing would have been a good idea, I remember it helped Shane when he was solo. I think they are in a bit of weird situation with having pre-order for a year, the monumentum and hype is gone a bit, maybe it was too long. But I'm sure they will sell well.

everybody needs to relax.... if the album goes to #1 in UK Ireland and a few countries in Asia I am far more than happy and every Westlife fan should be.....

They haven't got a #1 album for the last 12(!) years.

Relax and enjoy all this blessing we have, to have Westlife active after 20+ years, a #1 album, sell out tours, and songs like One Last Time. :)

In other news it is still ahead of Celine on online download platforms and it is #1 in more countries than her.

My mum even in doubt if Westlife will get a #1 again when she asked me when was the last #1, she kept silent lol it was last year

Even Nicky on their latest article he didn't think Westlife will be a success again I think he's honest

Edited by myxxd

No1 is sorted I think! Was never in doubt but I'm a pessimist. Hopefully sells big over xmas.
Does anyone have view on the album songs spotify view count? To see which songs are the most listened?
