  1. Ted is one of my favourite comedy acts to ever be on BGT. I don't know why KSI didn't hit the GB for him but I'm very glad he won the public vote. Surprised Mizuki placed so low and Antigravity placed so highly. Surprised it took so long for one of the judges to say what I've thought for so long about those acts - there's no human element.
  2. I'm actually not surprised that Reform are doing well. People are stupid. They'll believe whatever the likes of Farage will say regardless of how likely that is to be true. It's 100% driven by immigration. Not considering that there's other rights they'll lose in the process. And even if immigration was "sorted" they'll find something else to be angry about.
  3. I went Green this time but my area tends to be very strongly Labour anyway so I don't expect the overall picture to change.
  4. It's still one of ITV's biggest shows. I think an act being exciting/interesting is far more important than originality - I think it's unlikely they'll have something that's not been done in some form before. I liked the rappers cos that wasn't done on BGT before. Within the context of the show it was original, I guess.
  5. I think with sports people it's largely availability and having those that would be good value on this sort of thing. You've got the World Cup so that may rule out a lot of ex-footballers. Joe Marler had already been on The Wheel so they had something to go on.
  6. Shaping up to be an interesting final so far. Did wonder if the rappers might have clinched it tonight but they might have a shot at the wildcard.
  7. Yeah, that's been floating around. He's not gonna get very far on that one.
  8. They're a very likeable bunch this year. Losing both your dad and stepdad as a child must be rough. Poor Kush.
  9. Somehow it was even worse than what we saw.

That's a clip from the ITV series The Assembly. Trailer more than an advert (within the context of this thread anyway).
  11. Yes, Ant wasn't even trying to hide how much he disagreed with Jimmy, and also telling David to pipe down because he wasn't there.
  12. Not surprised Adam is pretty dejected after that.
  13. What an absolute wild ride. I knew it'd be a wild ride when they said they'd be talking about it, but blimey.
  14. Yep, both him and David are there.
  15. It feels unfair to have to leave in the middle of the night if you're leading. There's not exactly going to be much transport so your lead is squandered.
  16. That's two elimination trials in a row that haven't gone to plan... At least Sinitta actually tried.
  17. Can hardly blame Adam for being pissed off. Why wait until then to decide you're done?
  18. This series has been an interesting one thus far. Quite a lot of magicians (it feels anyway) but Rafferty is the one that stands out for me - it could all play out very differently at the live shows though. It has been a while since a traditional stand-up did well on the show so it would be nice to see Ant & Dec's golden buzzer (Ted) gain some traction.
  19. David doing a great job at reading the room... It looks like a proper argument between Adam and Jimmy tonight though.
  20. We're still getting Britain First protest in areas of the UK. I forgot they still existed. As for the Epsom protests, the fact they care more about the race of the person who did it says a lot.
  21. Yeah they weren't to know. I thought they'd have made some savings somewhere though. Also if I were them I'd honestly have saved on accommodation for this leg. They're down to, what, less than 50% now?
  22. Not sure how Jo & Kush finish the race now with how much of their budget they splashed on that.
  23. What part of that do you think she was putting on?
  24. Enjoying the series so far. I know they're probably marmite but I do find Seann and Adam's laugh to be very contagious. I'm not really minding Gemma that much either.

There was another pet based task a few years ago and the experts said something like "it doesn't work because it implies the dog can talk" which I thought was a bit of a reach. While watching the episode, I thought it was gearing up for them losing though. The brand was pretty much the only thing they had going for them. As for the interviews, what is it with candidates that are clearly intelligent people that pitch businesses in areas they've got no experience in? It seems like we get a variant of that each year, the thing of "he already has a decent job, he should stick to that". Also, do they always just not work on their plans enough? Half the things they get caught out on surely could be avoided? I'm glad Karishma made the final. I wasn't sure if her business plan would let her down.
