Is Girls Aloud's Nadine a girl alone?

Nadine Coyle and Girls Aloud are top of the album charts today - but the Londonderry star's joy was tainted by fresh claims about her romance.

 

The all-girl band's Greatest Hits CD was unveiled as the new chart-topper last night.

 

However, success may have come at a price for Nadine, amid speculation she has been left devastated by the end of her eight-month transatlantic romance with Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe.

 

The rumour mill was given fresh grist yesterday when Nadine failed to join her four bandmates on stage at the England v New Zealand rugby match at Twickenham.

 

Jesse and Nadine appeared on national television together a few weeks ago when the movie actor, who stars in new flick John Tucker Must Die, was a guest host in the Paul O'Grady Show.

 

Nadine's no-show yesterday has fuelled rumours expressed earlier this year that she could quit the chart-topping quintet for a solo career.

 

The band have courted controversy this year while awaiting the release of the new album, and last month an Ulster gig was cancelled over tight restrictions on fans and the media.

 

The show at the Elk nightclub in Toomebridge was due to take place in front of 1,500 fans but was called off "in the interests of customers" after organisers were told that mobile phones, cameras and the local press would be banned.

i think if she had left the news would have broken by now,i can see girls aloud sticking together for a while seeing they havnt anniunced a split to coincide with the greatest hits

if she has split then having some time to herself is understandable.

 

6 months until the tour, and hopefully some new material :D

and prob a brand new album next november thats how theyusuallly work it

mmm i would love some solo nadine stuff but i think she will stay with GA for another few years yet and she has split with jesse?

i cannot see them splitting now for a while especially with ghits doing so well for them,they know if they splitonly one of them at most will have a successfull solo career,i think that would be nadine

 

must pop groups who split dont have much solo success with the exception of robbie williams
