Good result in Round 7, Say You'll Be There came 5th! 46 voters out of a possible 98 people. So we've progressed into Round 8, and we're in the final 10 artist forums!

Glad you're enjoying it! :wub: I don't feasibly see Spice Girls lasting beyond Round 8 or Round 9 unfortunately. :(

 

We probably played big songs like Stop too early; those early rounds probably should have been dedicated to choices like Too Much and Goodbye... but at the time I wasn't aware it was going to last for as long as 13 rounds!

 

Cheryl (representing Girls Aloud) ended in the Bottom 3 with Fight for This Love in Round 7, so that puts us off taking a chance with solo stuff at this stage.

 

Our only really big song left is Viva Forever, as you say, and then below that would be Too Much/Goodbye (which don't tend to receive as much love as Viva Forever). Songs like Mama/Let Love Lead The Way/Headlines would presumably bomb :kink:

Round 8: 10 songs (Double Elimination)

Round 9: 8 songs (Triple Elimination - 2 tracks/Album track round)

Round 10: 5 songs (Single Elimination)

Round 11: 4 songs (Single Elimination)

Round 13: 2 songs (Single Elimination)

 

If we leave in Round 8 I'll be satisfied that we at least made the Top 10, if we make it to Round 9 I'd be really pleased!

Completely agree. I think 'Goodbye' may have done ok a bit earlier because of the emotional attachment most of us have to it. But would've still been a bit of a gamble.

:wub: Let's hope we can survive another couple of rounds. Struggling to decide whether to play it safe for Round 8, or take a risk that could help extend our time in the contest if the risk pays off. Eek!

It's looking like Spice Girls will either come dead last tonight and be automatically out of the competition, or go into a play-off with Girls Aloud or Zara Larsson... and I feel like we'd lose against both? :cry: I don't think we'll get enough votes to pass Kylie, who is currently 7th.

 

Seems like BuzzJack doesn't have much appreciation for Goodbye! I find it a shame how it's become gradually become more underrated as the years go by, including on YouTube & Spotify. It's such a beautiful song. Sighhh.

Unfortunately :cry: Most rounds has been the song with the least votes going straight away, and then the next two least voted for songs go head to head, and the loser also leaves the round.
