Wasn't expecting another release THIS soon but exciting!!!!

Yasss I love Alec, he hasn't released a bad song, Mind Is A Prison was gorge. I was at his London gig too, or one of them, so solid.

Another new single in 3 weeks, this one's called Oh My God as per previous tweets of his, then The Book of You & I will follow - he performed the latter on tour and it was gorgeous!

A little disappointed it's only 10 tracks long, as we've now had 5 from the album and The Book of You & I is out before the album too :lol: but I'd rather 10 excellent tracks without any filler!

I hope so too, four new songs is so little! the book is okay, I really quite like Oh My God though!

Finally out! No new songs ended up being added but the four newies are really strong. I was a little worried I wouldn't enjoy this as much as Narrated for You but everything gels so well together, and Alec's still as incredible as ever. Undoubtedly my favourite songwriter around, and this album really had me feeling emotional throughout. Not an easy task...!

 

Yes, this is great, and you're right the four newbies are great, especially Match In The Rain.

1. Must Have Been the Wind (this is second only to Let Me Down Slowly overall for him, it's one of the most well-written pop songs of the 2010s imo??)

:wub: :wub: every one of these songs has a top 20 peak in my personal chart - the first album to ever achieve that! Ties the record for most #1 singles (5) and breaks the record for most top 10s (8 - Alamo and I'm Not a Cynic are the only ones not to make it)

'Match In The Rain' is a really fantastic song, easily the best I have heard from him. :heart:

 

I really enjoyed 'Must Have Been The Wind' and 'Mind Is A Prison' as well from the previous singles - I'll probably check out the other three (!) songs on the album that weren't already released, might as well given I've already heard 70% of the album :lol:

Alec is re-releasing his old song I Built a Friend with a new mix next Friday!! I love this track so much, very excited :wub:
