Let us just be thankful it is not a cover. If they are still under Simon, with the underperformance of Better Man, they would be releasing with a cover right now and most likely it will be released on November before the album and we have to wait that long

 

In a way I think they are kinda sabotaging this upbeat song so they have a reason to release a soaring ballad.

There will be a fourth single. Mark said it before. Maybe they are reserving bigger promotional funds towards the end of the year, the time of the year with bigger sales most likely.

 

Charis I know what you are thinking. they cannot replicate those consecutive number ones in this era. nobody does that anymore especially on streaming era. They are lucky they did it when they debuted in the sales era Big artists now have low chart positions as well.

I understand, Although i am pretty sure that if they had a music video in youtube out on time they would challenge or make it to the top 40. it would definitely have ~1 million views in the first week... and it would also promote the single in general for downloading/streaming on other platforms as well.

If you notice they are still on the testing the waters phase, and taking different approaches with their releases, using very minimal budget as possible. Releasing a music video on a later date is the usual routine now. But since Hello My Love and Better Man are their comeback upbeat and ballad singles. They are pressured for them to do well and released the video and audio all at the same time. This third single, they have lesser pressure so they can do now what they want more this time, the approach of having minimal budget in promotion and they will see how far will it go. This is what the label wants as well.

 

Well I might agree that this song needs a music video asap though, the kind of song that needs beautiful visuals.

 

This might not be the cup of tea for some but you cannot deny this doesn't sound like an album filler at all and very much a single worthy song with the production and all. I can't with the apathy of some fans with this song as I am observing the likes and comments of the fans when Dynamite is talked about online, all they want is the album. Can't they wait for November and let them release more singles?

 

Some fans need to understand that they are delaying the album release is to build up the sales because they should know how little album sales are nowadays

I think they are doing this because many artists do that nowadays. Like myxxd said, it really feels like they are testing the waters after being away for 7 years.

Because fans are deprived with Westlife singles for over fifteen years and they know that. With some fans acting this way, I won't be surprised if they will be back to two singles per album maximum and I will be fuming

 

Also if other can release singles every month why can't they if they have a fresh record deal, it will promote them to streaming users and will surely have big album sales.

Like I said once, fans should stop worrying about singles charting, I really feel the boys don't care. They know things have changed a lot so a 20 year old act like them not having huge singles is really not a big deal. The albums and tours are what matters to them.

And this is what is happening right now

 

At this rate, since next year will be the second year of their record deal, the label might try an album release from them with only six months difference from each other and two singles max released from each album.

 

I just don't understand that some fans just want them to stick to their old hits and will not release new singles anymore and or being restricted from releasing new singles

I do like the song although I think the key change could have been better executed.

 

A TV special or something closer to the album release date would probably help.

It has been reported a couple of times about the documentary about the comeback so it would be great if they release it close to the album launch.

Louis is reportedly back as a judge on X Factor and the same time it was reported, the Spectrum release date was moved from Sept to Nov.

It is still on Nov on their site and apple. Last oct the album dates were like that Dec 25, Jan 1 2020. Idk if this is some kind of a tactic or something or just a mere error

Amazon Japan have it on Sept 6 ever since and never changed it yet

Also this is their debut year under Universal Virgin EMI. They had three singles released before their self-titled album release in 1999. They are doing the same thing this time because those were their sales and chart peaks, their first two albums. they were supposed to be signed up under Virgin or EMI in 1998 but they have chosen RCA because they are more pop and Backstreet and Take That were all under Sony.

 

That is why I wanted them to release something last April because I know they won't release something in May (Bop Bop Baby release) and June (I'd Wait For Life by Take That release) because I know July and August will be too long for a release after their March release and it will wane down the hype. They need to drop those patterns already because we are on streaming era and not on sales era.

 

Some fans also thought this is not an official single because there's no music video. I guess it will be a long way to go for most of the fans to adapt to streaming.

I always thought Kian has a good vocal, he definitely deserves more lines. As for Nicky, he is ok when there is a song that fits his ability. However, its not surprising he didn't get better control as he only sang during the Eurovision and he never promoted or toured with his album. He could have practiced home of course but he had a steady job and a family so its not surprising if he never bothered to get better.

 

Considering they were cought using playback during the acoustic set, I wonder if they sing the Queen medley live. I am not sure but I also had a feeling Kian mimed during Dynamite performances at Croke Park. I might be wrong of course.
