To think she could have easily ended up being a one-hit wonder when YMTWTM underperformed too. Glad that Castles is turning the era around now (it's a better song) and her album should be a steady seller.

Schrödinger's Hot Hits, is it refusing to push new songs and thus making the chart stale, or is it accepting payola by playlisting songs that aren't actually the biggest hits? It's simultaneously both until you observe BuzzJack's Spotify thread to see which one people are complaining about at that particular moment.

 

Good for Freya though, and not surprised that Spotify are now pushing it on Hot Hits as they've been completely spamming the ad for the song.

 

AJ Tracey now having the 4th highest non Ed song *.* just seen it is top 10 in today's midweeks as well! Really hope it can hold that.

And with Unknown T, the news broke fairly late in the day so if there is any impact I think we're more likely to see it tomorrow.

Very pleased for Freya, it really is a great single. Maybe Castles can eventually ‘do a Tom Walker’ by peaking higher than a long-running low top ten hit but selling less in the long run.
Castles doing well was inevitable it's being played throughout radio. Always shows how important HH is for a song though!

Chasing Cars appears at #124!

Only climbing 7 places to #48 is quite disappointing for being #1 on such a big playlist
