October 6, 20204 yr I thought it was all a bit anti-climatic tbh Maggie's return was so flat and Beta deserved a huge moment. His death was so...sudden/abrupt
October 7, 20204 yr What was the thing with his vision all about? Also why do people now not cover their faces with blood when disguising themselves?
October 7, 20204 yr I thought it was all a bit anti-climatic tbh Maggie's return was so flat and Beta deserved a huge moment. His death was so...sudden/abrupt I liked it! After it took us 6 episodes to get through the final war against the Saviours the fact that this took one episode is a nice change from the usual tbh, especially considering Alpha was already dead and her story was essentially over. TWD has a thing about stretching out certain storylines so the Whisperers being killed off like this was nice and succinct for once. The episode itself didn’t feel too fast paced either.
October 7, 20204 yr O man... I just watched it, It was brilliant, some of it, especially Maggie's return she really didn't have much to do in it to be honest, and who is that sidekick or bodyguard, as I remember she left on her own. It didn't really explain Michonne was missing, unless I blinked and missed it. The cliff-hanger was a bit crazy and all over the place to be honest.
October 8, 20204 yr Yeah Michonne left a little while back, episode 13. She goes to an island with Virgil where he's supposedly giving her weapons for Oceanside but he tricked her, drugged her, and a lot of the episode is hallucinating a "what if?" flashback where she never saved Andrea years ago. The alternate timeline has her eventually joining the Saviour's and becoming one of Negan's trusted allies to the point where she is responsible for killing Glenn and Abraham. Then she is hit by one of Daryl's arrows I believe and Rick kills her. Makes her think about the decisions she makes and when she finds a pair of Ricks boots and an ipod he scratched into she sets out to go find him - and hasn't been heard from since. Presumably she'll appear in the Rick spin off movies As for Maggie she set off on her own (with baby obviously) to join the other settlement who gave them the original blueprints for the windmill etc. a long time ago. I figure the crazy ninja guy either lives at Maggies new home or they met them along the way
October 9, 20204 yr I loved the alternative history episode for Michonne just seeing the old characters for a bit was class
October 15, 20204 yr I thought the 6 extra Bonus episodes were straight after the finale this week - anyone know when they are being shown?
March 1, 20214 yr Spoiler bc it hasn’t aired everywhere just yet I mean... it’s not the greatest of episodes but it fills in a lot of gaps around Maggie and what she’s been up to over the years. The main takeaway was that she (obviously) still hates Negan and has raised young Hershel to hate the man who killed his dad also. Which is an entirely valid thing honestly it’ll just be interesting to see how it plays out. But yeah nothing happened that we didn’t already know/expect  Seeing young Hershel was adorable though he looks so much like Glenn it hurts This week was mostly a Maggie episode with Daryl and next week is supposedly (from reviewers info) a Daryl episode with Carol. Hopefully a bit more ambitious than this weeks but we’ll see
March 2, 20214 yr Yeh I enjoyed seeing Maggie back and the links to the characters like Glenn, hershel and Beth(im currently re watching from the start) and how that story will play out. Cant wait to see the episode with Negans origins!!
March 8, 20214 yr That episode this week was fantastic! Loving these character driven special episodes and we get to fill in the blanks from the time jump.
March 22, 20214 yr First episode in the history of the Walking Dead there was no ‘In Memorial’ in the episode 😂
March 29, 20214 yr I haven’t watched it yet but supposedly this weeks is one of the worst since Angela took over as showrunner. A bonus episode of basically just filler Carol making soup and talking to Dog
March 29, 20214 yr Yeh saw the promo clip for it with the fork in the road. I like these bonus episodes though a lot of character focus which is good to see. The Maggie one would be 6/10 for me, the Carol/Daryl would be 8/10 and the Erin/Father Gabriel would be 9/10! The Princess one last week was the best though full 10/10 for me with the mental health aspect meaning we aren’t sure where she’s at, brilliant stuff!
March 29, 20214 yr Yeh was a bit of a filler episode but I actually enjoyed it a lot. I liked that we actually see Alexandria a lot more than usual and realise they have lives which they go on with amongst all the e fighting. Fun fact the red bucket Carol collected the stuff for soup was a link to the first series which Amy used to collect fish from at the Atlanta camp. Love things like that! Also next weeks series finale is the one we’ve been waiting for - the NEGAN formation episode!! Loved the sneak peak as well, won’t spoil it. It’s also an hour and a half long!!
March 30, 20214 yr Outside of Dog being an absolute star, that was EASILY one of the worst episodes in many years. Absolutely pitiful.
March 31, 20214 yr I enjoyed it more than I thought it would but yeah nothing special. I guess it’s an insight into Alexandrian life which, as it turns out, is pretty boring when there’s no villain  It was nice seeing Carol’s resourcefulness and survival skills in effect - but this also could’ve been two 7 minute webisodes of “Carol’s Soup” and “Daryl’s Bike”
