On the strength of his lone single, the Bathgate native sold out legendary Glasgow club King Tut's and notched millions of streams before dropping his follow-up single, the equally stark "Lost on You," later that summer. After signing with Virgin Records, Capaldi included both songs on his debut EP, Bloom, and capped off his banner year with a Scottish Music Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. The front half of 2018 was spent touring in North America and Europe in advance of his next single, "Rush," featuring Jessie Reyez. "Tough" followed a few months later. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2018 09 Grace -2- 2018 01 Someone You Loved -3- MILLIONAIRE 2019 16 Bruises -1- 2019 04 Hold Me While You Wait -4- Social Media Lewis Capaldi http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png

The Norwegian producer (born Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll in 1991) cut his teeth crafting bootleg remixes of songs like Lana Del Rey’s “Born to Die” and James Blake’s “The Wilhelm Scream”, fleshing out the originals with contrasting touches: EDM drops inspired by his fondness for Avicii and ruminative melodies reflective of his childhood piano studies. In 2013, layering an a cappella of Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” over dancing marimbas and a teasingly measured 4/4 beat, he hit upon his slow-motion signature. The following year, he was called up to replace an ailing Avicii on Tomorrowland’s main stage, and his relaxed, sunny vibe stopped EDM’s harder-faster-louder ethos in its tracks. Kygo’s dreamy, pioneering tropical house—encapsulated in singles like the lilting “Firestone” and his even-more-weightless remix of a-ha’s “Take On Me”—cast its influence across the pop music landscape, reaching as far as Skrillex, Diplo and Justin Bieber’s smash, “Where Are Ü Now”, and securing Kygo collabs with Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, Miguel and Imagine Dragons. - iTunes Whitney Houston Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) was an American singer and actress. She was cited as the most awarded female artist of all time by Guinness World Records and remains one of the best-selling music artists of all time with 200 million records sold worldwide. She released seven studio albums and two soundtrack albums, all of which have been certified diamond, multi-platinum, platinum, or gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Houston's crossover appeal on the popular music charts—as well as her prominence on MTV, starting with her video for "How Will I Know"—influenced several African-American women artists who followed in her footsteps. Houston began singing in church as a child and became a background vocalist while in high school. With the guidance of Arista Records chairman Clive Davis, she signed to the label at the age of 19. Her first two studio albums, Whitney Houston (1985) and Whitney (1987), both reached number one on the Billboard 200 in the United States and became two of the world's best-selling albums of all time. She became the only artist to have seven consecutive number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, from "Saving All My Love for You" in 1985 to "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" in 1988. Houston made her screen acting debut in the romantic thriller film The Bodyguard (1992). She recorded seven songs for the film's soundtrack, including "I Will Always Love You", which received the Grammy Award for Record of the Year and became the best-selling single by a woman in music history. The soundtrack album received the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and remains the world's best-selling soundtrack album of all time. Houston made other high-profile film appearances, including Waiting to Exhale (1995) and The Preacher's Wife (1996). The theme song "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" became her eleventh and final number-one single on the Hot 100 chart, while The Preacher Wife's soundtrack became the best-selling gospel album in history. Following the critical and commercial success of My Love Is Your Love (1998), Houston signed a $100 million contract with Arista Records. However, her personal struggles began overshadowing her career, and the album Just Whitney (2002) received mixed reviews. Her drug use and tumultuous marriage to Bobby Brown were widely publicized in media. After a six-year break from recording, Houston returned to the top of the Billboard 200 chart with her final studio album, I Look to You (2009). On February 11, 2012, Houston was found dead in the Beverly Hilton, Beverly Hills, California. The coroner's report showed that she had accidentally drowned in the bathtub, with heart disease and cocaine use as contributing factors. News of her death coincided with the 2012 Grammy Awards, at which she was originally scheduled to perform, and featured prominently in international media. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History Kygo 2015 08 Firestone (feat. Grant knew from a young age that he wanted to pursue a career in music, due in part to his parents; not only was his dad a former rapper from Trinidad & Tobago, his mother was a former drum'n'bass DJ from Wales. By age six, Grant had started writing rhymes, coinciding with the first great boom in grime. Although the genre temporarily lost its way, Grant soldiered on, unwilling to give up on his passion for grime. By the time he had reached his early twenties, grime had started another upswing. During this time Grant became proactive in his pursuit of radio spots, working his way up through pirate radio before scoring appearances on Rinse.DM, NTS, and eventually even BBC Radio One. With his reputation in the world of radio firmly cemented, Grant released a string of EPs, beginning with The Front EP in July 2015, followed by the Alex Moran EP later the same year. In 2016, he further solidified his status as an emerging talent, with a combination of solid collaborations, more radio appearances, and the release of the Lil Tracey EP. The end of 2016 culminated with Grant's nomination on BBC's Sound of 2017. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2017 75 Quarterback (Secure The Bag!) -1- 2018 51 Mimi -NAS- 2018 69 London's Calling (GRM Daily feat. Writing and recording with her brother—and producer—Finneas O’Connell at their parents’ house, Eilish released dont smile at me in 2017, followed by an ever-evolving series of singles—a prime example of the fact that, in the streaming era, artists are now free to move directly from their bedrooms into the spotlight. Despite the attention, Eilish is doing her best to stake out a space of freedom and fluidity, expanding her range of collaborators (Vince Staples, Khalid) and dodging easy definition. “If people think I have a sound, if people are like, ‘Oh yeah, her sound is this,’ if someone asks you what my sound is and you have an answer for them—you’re wrong,” she told Beats 1’s Zane Lowe. “Instead of trying to find a sound, when I want to make something and when I have an idea of what I want to make, I’m just going to make that.” - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2018 47 lovely (Billie Eilish & Khalid) -3- 2018 21 when the party's over -2*- 2018 72 ocean eyes -1- 2018 47 come out and play -NAS- 2019 78 idontwannabeyouanymore -AT- 2019 79 bellyache -2- 2019 06 bury a friend -3*- 2019 13 wish you were gay -IG- 2019 02 bad guy -4*- 2019 60 you should see me in a crown -1*- Social Media Billie Eilish http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/uploads/group_images/of_243.png
July 28, 20197 yr Oh this is Kygo's highest charting single :o firestone and it ain't me really were robbed of top five positions, both were huge!
July 28, 20197 yr First time I've tuned-in to this First Look show. Same old problem with all chart shows across all stations - they insist on mixing the music with inane contributions from listeners! They're not even comments on the singles featuring on the update like those appearing on this forum - at least that would be relevant. But who cares what John in London or Jane in Edinburgh did during the weekend?! There's enough 'interactive' content in other programmes; why is there this aversion to just keeping a chart countdown just that?! Instead of that rubbish, they could probably play a few more records, if not quite the full Top 20.
