Whoops I did think today was Thursday lol. But I disagree. It might be a small difference but it’s the principle that bothers me, they have the accurate Thursday data but they still choose to ignore it when it comes to sales totals. I know there’s probably always a margin of error (more so in the physical days) with these things but this is such an easily solvable problem. Accuracy should matter.

It is so annoying that the day with the maximum impact just will not be counted. Do we know if these sales or the estimations count towards certifications? Because we could be looking at quite a lot of missed sales

Oh damn, just a few extra copies could’ve got it there. Good that it’s still selling steadily though, the bar for top 100 is insanely high these days thanks to all these stupid compilations

Come on Dolly! So rooting for her to get #1 next week. I imagine the country resurgence is helping also and this might make that even bigger

Love Whitney but Dolly’s original is definitely superior. Hers is so delicate and bittersweet whereas Whitney’s is very bull in a china shop-esque

I hope there’s some more interest in Dolly’s Christmas music this year! A Christmas to Remember and Hard Candy Christmas deserve to be classics

So mad I couldn't get the signed LP, it was impossible to get for most people outside the US

With the <5k gap it’s had the past few weeks they could’ve easily taken it another week, even this week, if they did a Madonna-style cheap CD with instant shipping and some other incentive to buy! So it could’ve got it another week. I know Shakira doesn’t really care about the UK but they did launch that half-hearted last minute competition the week it looked close, you’d think they’d have been monitoring how close it’s been in subsequent weeks and done something but alas they haven’t. Saying this isn’t taking anything away from its performance, I just feel Shakira deserves some more chart success here, her stats here don’t really reflect how big she truly is.

I’m not surprised since it was already down to like what the 74th best seller by Tuesday last week? Downloads are negligible this week and streaming non-existent. Ahh well, it did its job!
