Fascinating fact: In 2001, when there was a lot of rivalry between Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey there were rumours that the Glitter album was sabotaged twice.

 

Firstly, that JLo used the Firecracker sample for her song I'm Real, which Mariah had wanted for her lead single.

 

Secondly, that someone in Mariah's camp leaked the information that Mariah was making a hip-hop ballad with Ja Rule (If We). Jennifer Lopez was then rushed into the studio to make a hip-hop ballad with Ja Rule. That song - the remix - to I'm Real was one of the biggest hits of the year.

I know you like it. As I said, I just can never remember how it goes. I could sing you any Mariah song without thinking except Want You and most of the Emotions album.

 

I think Want You will survive this round at least.
