I often wonder how well NRO would have done with a good amount of promo. Such a missed opportunity because it should have been a mega hit for her :(

I reckon it would have managed a few more weeks top 20 in the US, top 10 if radio was kinder. If she did promo in the UK it would have been an EASY top 10. Still shocked they never discounted it on one of the weeks it was just outside the top 10. Surely the biggest missed opportunity of her career?

In the UK she’s more Christina Aguilera id say in terms of her career.

 

But she still has a career she’s still a top tier female in my opinion.

 

She could get a gold selling album at least if it was genuinely good.

 

Album in 2020 or 2021 could be a good idea for her. I think she should throw as many singles out there as she can see what kind of things stick and then build the album upon that.

 

Her vocals are actually ok on this!

 

Live performances esp the vocals side of things are her biggest weakness for me but that was pretty good for a Katy live vocal.

I still don’t think Small Talk is that bad though tbh. She’s released much worse stuff what’s done a lot better. I can see why it hasn’t taken off in the charts but I think some people are basing their opinion of the track on its performance.

The vertical video is from the release week. They all end up on YouTube eventually. I think even Katy gave up now.
