Hi zeus555,

Thanks for this list!

I already have Bob Marley's legend at 890 weeks as of this week (comprising of the 888 weeks that the OCC site has, plus two weeks for which the charts are wrong on the OCC site, w/e Jan 6, 1996 (#94) and Jan 13, 1996 (#100)).

Next to that I have Nirvana's Nevermind at 331 weeks.

Regards,

Ronnie

PS I see some other small discrepancies with my numbers for a couple albums, which I'm figuring out now.

RonnieV -- Thanks for telling me that I'd missed out Nirvana. I've now added it to the List.

I've heard that 'Legend' is 2 Weeks too few before. It is very hard to get The OCC to correct

things, so I doubt if they will ever give 'Legend' its 2 missing Weeks.

I see that on W/E 6th January 1996 they have 'ABBA Gold' at No.80. Other sources say that it

was at No.85 that Week...

Hi zeus555,

I doubt that that OCC will ever correct their databases to have the correct historical charts, which is a big shame. I consider the original charts (as published in Music Week, Record Mirror and/or Hit Music) to be the correct ones and I've tried to fix all OCC's errors in my database.

Today I did a comparison and I think the differences between your and my numbers can all be explained by either correcting OCC's mistakes or not.

I have:

- Bob Marley's "Legend", as discussed above, at 890 weeks,

- Queen's "Greatest Hits" at 860 weeks (I guess you add the 7 weeks where the combined set of albums "Greatest Hits 1 & 2" charted in Nov/Dec 1994 and I give that a separate chart entry),

- Oasis' "(What's The Story) Morning Glory" at 394 weeks (because OCC has an incorrect chart for Jul 10, 1999 and the album didn't actually chart that week),

- Fleetwood Mac's "The Very Best Of" at 363 weeks (I guess you excluded the 3 weeks in 2017/2018 which OCC incorrectly say are for a different album, but I believe are in fact for the same album),

- Madonna's "The Immaculate Collection" at 342 weeks (she did chart in the actual Jul 10, 1999 chart at #89 giving her an extra week),

Cheers,

Ronnie

PS the Jan 6, 1996 chart is indeed wrong on OCC website, ABBA should be at #85
