Only voted in the final for Listen To The Man out of the songs so far. I'm guessing most of the older songs (Tiny Dancer etc.) didn't make it this high

Following the split of Swedish House Mafia two of the members made their own group, with this becoming one of their biggest hits in Europe but sadly not doing too much here.

Two more great tracks there, Figure It Out was unlucky to miss the top 40.

26. LP ~ Lost On You

Year charted: 2017

Official chart peak: DNC

Sales chart peak: #39

Points scored in final: 115

Group position: 5th

Points scored in group: 64

Another big European hit, but not given much of a UK push outside of Radio 2 and I think a TV appearance which put it in the sales top 40. Could've been big with a Spotify push.

25. KEiiNO ~ Spirit in the Sky

Year charted: 2019

Official chart peak: #61

Sales chart peak: #07

Points scored in final: 119

Group position: 3rd

The British public's favourite of the latest Eurovision which quickly made its way into the iTunes top 10 after the show but of course didn't do too well on streaming.

Yay! I was expecting Spirit in the Sky to miss out so that's brilliant to see!
I wish Spirit in The Sky was the highest Eurovision entry, but I think Fuego is still to come. :drama:

Lost on You is so good, could easily have done a 3 Nights with a proper Spotify push that never had... too bad, LP is great

and it didn't even make the top 100? big boo UK people :/

Another European smash but misalignment of its radio and Spotify push seemed to kill its chances of going top 40.

Official chart peak: #44

This song, which was also covered on Avicii's debut album 'True', was briefly brought back to the chart following a performance by The Voice contestants, having peaked at #44 upon its original release.

Official chart peak: #41

Sales chart peak: #23

Points scored in final: 120

Group position: 2nd

Points scored in group: 91

Another deep house track which was seemingly randomly given a Radio 1 push, but unfortunately streaming was starting to have a real effect on these types of songs at this point and it just missed the top 40.

21. CLiQ feat. Alika ~ Wavey

Year charted: 2018

Official chart peak: #44

Sales chart peak: #33

Points scored in final: 121

Group position: 8th

Points scored in group: 63

One of my favourite tracks of last year, it looked like it was going to eventually make the top 40 at some point after a lengthy climb but unfortunately stalled just outside.

Another two good ones there, Henry Krinkle was definitely robbed.
No Roots and Lost Without You, I always mix those 2 songs actually :D

20. Martin Solveig feat. Sam White ~ « +1 »

Year charted: 2015

Official chart peak: #51

Sales chart peak: #25

Points scored in final: 121

Group position: 2nd

Points scored in group: 89

Following a big hit with 'Intoxicated' Martin Solveig unfortunately struggled to get a follow-up with this underperforming, though he eventually did get another hit with 'Places' in 2017.

19. Sub Focus & Dimension ~ Desire

Year charted: 2019

Official chart peak: #51

Sales chart peak: #26

Points scored in final: 121

Group position: 4th

Points scored in group: 66

Most of us weren't expecting Sub Focus to get a hit in 2019 but 'Desire' stuck around in the lower reaches of the chart for a short while, out-living some of his former top 40 hits too. A great result but if only it could've climbed just a little bit further to get drum n' bass back in the top 40 after literal years.

Anthony & The Johnsons - Hope there's Someone

that got my max points, one of the most beautiful songs in the history of music, from one of the best albums ever, I am a Bird Now

a very haunting song written from the guts and sung from the guts, you can almost feel the pain in the way Anthony sings and plays/hits the piano in the final coda of there song... not many songs are capable of transmitting so much raw emotion

One of Buzzjack's favourite Eurovision entries ever and the highest one in this rundown, but to the surprise of some of you doesn't even reach anywhere near the top 10!

17. CHVRCHES ~ Get Away

Year charted: 2014

Official chart peak: #52

Sales chart peak: #29

Points scored in final: 123

Group position: 3rd

Points scored in group: 87

Serving as the comeback for CHVRCHES for their second era, streaming wasn't kind to them especially for the time (29-52 being one of the biggest drops for 2014). They finally got a proper hit this year however by collabing with Marshmello.

19. Sub Focus & Dimension ~ Desire

I wonder if Modestep was the last one?

+1 and Desire

And I wasn't expecting to see Get Away so high, still one of my fave CHVRCHES songs!

To be honest I was surprised to see some Fuego haters here. 6 negative points I think.

Sigma still had hits in 2016 (Cry and Find Me), I think those are the last DnB hits (if Find Me even counts as DnB).

Year charted: 2015

Official chart peak: #51

Sales chart peak: #31

Points scored in final: 124

Points scored in group: 53

Released as a promotional single here but proper single in the US, this never got a real push here so never got the chance to better its #51 peak.

15. Jamie xx feat. Romy ~ Loud Places

Year charted: 2015

Official chart peak: #62

Sales chart peak: #40

Points scored in final: 125

Group position: 2nd

Points scored in group: 84

Released from Jamie xx's solo album with guest vocals from Romy also of The xx, this gained the most traction of his solo material.

Sigma still had hits in 2016 (Cry and Find Me), I think those are the last DnB hits (if Find Me even counts as DnB).

Songs with Birdy and Take That being the last DnB hits in the UK
