Nice to Meet Ya

#43 Australia (+104)

That will achieve a few more pure sales.

It may manage to stay Top 30 this week, the midweek information released later today will help give a guide.

Number 30 in the midweek information today although likely the Christmas classics will push it down some places by Friday.

The extra sales via this channel are welcoming but likely not enough to make any difference to this weeks chart position.

He seems to have been frantically pushing 'Nice To Meet Ya' on his socials daily these last two weeks in particular, in a way that suggests panic. I think it's done as well as expected, maybe more?
Has it really? I don't think #22 was the desired outcome at all. It's by no means done badly, but I think the label likely expected better. I don't see it being damaging to Niall's career but I think he can score a bigger hit than that quite easily with a song that connects with the streaming audience better.

I think he has probably been trying to get as much mileage as possible out of Nice To Meet Ya before the new song is released. He was all over Australian TV and radio this week and didn't mention Put A Little Love On Me at all, so it seemed like he was really trying to keep the focus on Nice To Meet Ya.

Fair point. I suppose like with Spice Girls in the years immediately following their hiatus and their solo careers losing the early lustre and excitement (cf Liam's critical savaging in the media today) there is going to be baggage about them as solo artists of some description because of their legacy sales wise as a group. But I would imagine that'd be less of an issue for Niall given he's actually bought out some decent music and actually sells out tours etc?

Solo careers are always hard when you come from a huge band but niall is doing well so far and looks on track to have a fairly successful 2nd album so he will def get to album 3.
His live performances of Nice To Meet Ya are all very strong and result in good sales increases.

After such a wonderful Strictly Come Dancing performance, nice to meet ya suffers a big drop this week, dropping back to Number 86.

I assume ACR has kicked in.
