So just imagine for LG6

We can only have one or the above.

Which one would you go for?

Imagine a #1 peak but with sales being on the low side.

High sales (for this climate imagine higher than both ARTPOP and Joanne though) but no #1 peak and a slightly shorter chart run than ASIB.

Or middling sales, a modest peak (not #1 but not like missing the top ten either) but with a long chart run ala The Fame.

For me. I think I just want a mixture of high sales but longevity. A #1 peak would be a bonus but I’d take higher sales and longevity over a #1.

EDIT: just want to make sure people are aware I’m referring to the UK charts here :)

Longevity!

But #1 is important in the US* where she has a phenomenal track record. In the UK it would be kinda like a bonus.

*I can't see her not going #1 in the US though under regular circumstances.

UK : high sales, she needs to stabilise in the UK with another album selling 200k+

US : #1 peak so she can have the record as the female with most #1s this decade

LG6 in the UK

Single: Would love a long running top 10/15 single. Can’t see her getting another #1 single.

Album: #1 with longevity would be nice and I can see that happening

LG6 in the USA

Single: I think a top 5 debut is reasonable. Otherwise, a long running top 20 would be nice

Album: defo #1 please

I don't think she can get a top 5 DEBUT in the US with her single when PI reached "only" #15. Low top ten perhaps. But it's down to the competition in the end.

And who knows, after Sucker storming to #1 anything is possible

I think he meant that a #1 isn’t everything!

This!

BTW really sapped her no.1 pulling power anyway. But look at Beyonce, who flopped at the same rime, but built her self back up with ... BEYONCED NO-HYPE ALBUMS! She hasn't had a no.1 since then, but has had solid sales across all her albums. That's what's important. She's literally more relevant than ever now through doing that.
