He's promised "pop" on social media a number of times, so let's see what tomorrow's new single is like. I really hope the second album includes "Move Me" and "Complicated", as those are two of my favourites of his!

His second album is called R.Y.C. (acronym of Raw Youth Collage) and will be released on January 17. The album includes collaborations with Ned Green, slowthai, Tirzah, Georgia and Wolf Alice, besides Clairo.

All of slowthai's songs are good tho x

Feeling pretty underwhelmed by the stuff from this Mura Masa album so far after really liking a lot of his previous releases, 'Deal Wiv It' is better than the previous 2 singles but I'm still not LOVING it, was definitely hoping for better after how great their previous collab on 'Doorman' was :( it does really just sound like a bootleg The Streets song and slightly lacks the charm The Streets normally has. Hoping it might grow on me.

...and grow on me it has with a couple more listens xx it's still no 'Doorman' but I've got into it a lot more now.

I've loved all 3 songs released so far, so I'm hyped for this! Particularly the Georgia and Ellie Rowsell collabs!

I just can’t at the way he describes music. It’s a very short and uninformative review to be honest and feels more like a personal opinion rather than a critique from a subjective stance. I genuinely hate The Guardian’s reviews.

I’m not saying he’s wrong to give 1 star as I’ve not heard the album in full but I’ve enjoyed the singles so far so it seems like a really harsh rating!

I haven't exactly hated the singles from this album ('Deal Wiv It' I still think is pretty good, if not nearly as good as a Mura Masa/slowthai song should be, and 'No Hope Generation' was alright enough too) but I'm just confused as to why he seems to have completely abandoned the sound that he broke through with. There's nothing about any of these songs that would make me think they are Mura Masa songs if I didn't already know they were. He's just completely sold out his individuality and I'm not sure for what purpose? It's not like he's getting any hits out of it.

'Teenage Headache Dreams', as I was worried from the title, is pretty egh though. It sounds like The Chainsmokers trying to make a 'rock' song. No thanks.

I'm guessing it's just the music he wants to make now - and I'm all for it as I'm not a massive fan of his older music. (though Lovesick is pretty good)
