KYLIE Minogue fans were treated to a special performance last night when U2 lead singer Bono joined her on stage.

The audience leapt to their feet when Bono made a surprise appearance for a duet during the second concert in Kylie's extravagant Showgirl Homecoming Tour at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

Bono joined her to sing a rendition of Kids, the hit single she originally recorded with Robbie Williams.

Minogue said of the moment on stage with Bono: "I'm in the presence of greatness."

Minogue has rewarded her faithful and patient Australian fans with a reworked Showgirl tour that features several additions for the fans.

She has added several tracks from 1997's Impossible Princess album, a creative high but a sales disappointment for the star at the time.

Cowboy Style and Too Far, – the latter the only song that Minogue wrote both the lyrics and music for – feature in a new Indian-inspired segment.

Minogue performs the Eastern section in bare feet, a big change for a woman who has spent her entire career in gravity-defying heels.

Confide in Me is also given a musical makeover to fit into the "Samsara" segment, as well as an obscure 1992 single, Finer Feelings.

Minogue goes Dalek with dialogue from cult sci-fi TV show Dr Who introducing Can't Get You Out of My Head, followed by robotic album track Light Years, another new addition. Fans then get a brief blast of Turn It Into Love from her 1988 debut album.

Burning Up, a key moment from the Fever tour, returns for the matured Showgirl tour, with Minogue dropping in the rap (and hand gestures) from Madonna's Vogue.

At two and a half hours, the new show is longer than those on the British leg.

An interval has been included to give Minogue, still recovering from treatment for breast cancer, a rest during the gruelling show.

She dances less than in previous tours, letting her concentrate more on her vocals, which shine brightest during Confide in Me and her stark cover of Over the Rainbow.

Minogue will perform at the Rod Laver Arena from December 10. Tickets are still available.

3. <_<

300,000 you mean

Rob is definatly playing to more :smoke:

No. 3 in total. Bruce, Sheila and Kirk the Kangaroo. -_-

Robbie is def playing to more. I remember reading that. But it all comes down to how many concerts they are doing. I'm sure U2 could easily have sold out more venues if they had wanted to. ^_^

I wish they would tour they're new 'best of' album cause after watching the amazing 'Zoo TV' DVD, I desperatly wanna see them live again :(

They are not even the biggest band in Ireland. Or the UK.

Westlife are obviously much bigger. Just look at the Number 1s each of them has had.

The begining was bad cause Bono's voice was way too deap but it's picked up and was good imo.
