Posted November 12, 200618 yr pete doherty: arena doc - bbc2 tonight 10.45pm /interview 12am bbc4 perhaps the most important icon of a generation? or just someone that the tabloids can find interesting in a sea of blandness?
November 15, 200618 yr It was a good doc! Somebody really should kill that journalist woman in the blue top who said everyone is 'waiting for Pete Doherty to die' <_< See how she likes it -_- it's almost confirming my journalist stereotype at how they LOVE to laugh at someone successful on a downer  other than that it was very interesting and showed good and bad times but as most of us know it showed that the press make him out to be a lot worse than he actually is. He sounded much more alert than he has done in a while on Zane Lowe the other week so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe things might finally start to get better and we'll see the Pete we all know and love again  The EP certainly sounds promising anyway.
November 17, 200618 yr It was a good doc! Somebody really should kill that journalist woman in the blue top who said everyone is 'waiting for Pete Doherty to die' <_< Dunno about everyone, but personally, I certainly am... Then we can forget about this pathetic junkie no mark who's contribution to music is at best minimal and concentrate on far more worthy artists.... I'm disgusted that an hour and a quarter was wasted on this prick when I can think of vastly better British music icons to make documentaries about - Jarvis Cocker, Morrissey, Robert Smith, Bernard Sumner to name but a few.. Oh, but then of course, none of THEM have had well-publicised drug addictions, or injected a syringe into a comatose fan, or squirted a syringe full of disgusting junkie blood at a group of journalists, or shagged some slag of a 'supermodel', or been hauled up before a court every five minutes, or just generally whored themselves around the press.... Nah, they just got on with actually creating utterly compelling, inspirational music which has stood the test of time... Why would that be important to an 'arts and culture' documentary series, eh...? <_<

November 17, 200618 yr then again on the other hand i suppose there's always the George Michael south bank show special rpt on itv1 at 11pm tonight   Mate, to be honest, I reckon even old Georgie boy has made more of a lasting contribution to the Brit music scene than Doherty has.....
November 17, 200618 yr Author Mate, to be honest, I reckon even old Georgie boy has made more of a lasting contribution to the Brit music scene than Doherty has.....  maybe but i would have to go through the whole back cat on youtube to argue whether or not   then again if everything is like that dreadful smooth fm sludge of this is not real love with mutya (which seems to be just two people moaning in pain for three mins), then maybe pete is the true genius.
