Posted September 18, 20195 yr Calvin has released two albums in June, two in October and one in August so when do you think he will release his sixth studio album. Do you think he will still release before the year is out or wait until 2020 to release the record?
September 18, 20195 yr can't see it happening this year, think he might go for a summer 2020 release but who knows if he'll even actually do an album at this point.
September 18, 20195 yr Author I think if he does release an album it will be next summer Q2/3 as that suits his music more and he could release a single before the end of the year and then another before the album release. However I think something like Jax Jones did where he made a growing playlist of his hits could be a better option than a whole album right now.
September 18, 20195 yr Q3 next year! I hope he releases a new single soon, I’m not here for this Calvin drought! :(
September 21, 20195 yr I honestly want it this year but I just don't see it happening :nocheer: Sony obviously have something lined up hence his feature in that release schedule a few months back, but at this point I'll take a few more singles and an album in Q2 next year.
September 21, 20195 yr I wonder if there's some sort of label issue at the moment, seems very odd that we haven't had an original Calvin release since January, soon it'll be longer than the wait after Funk Wav Bounces to get 'Nuh Ready Nuh Ready'!!
September 21, 20195 yr Author Yeah it does seem odd as there must be some music ready if they were gonna release something earlier this year. There were 114 days between 'Fakin It' and 'Nuh Ready Nuh Ready', where as its been 253 since 'Giant' so it's been a good while. It wouldn't surprise me if he just wasn't feeling the rest of the album so scrapped it and so is needing time to make some new songs.
September 22, 20195 yr I suppose he's been putting all his energy this summer in doing live shows too but surely he must have some songs ready to go?
September 28, 20195 yr Next year now but it’s overdue. Had loads of singles which could be included on this including his earlier stuff like how deep is your life and my way.
September 28, 20195 yr why would he include those two on the album when they predate his last album though? I think One Kiss is the official start to this current album era.
October 1, 20195 yr I'd be very surprised if that ended up on the album as it's very stylistically different to his last 3 hits (plus it tanked in the charts).
October 1, 20195 yr Author I personally wouldn't mind if 'Nuh Ready Nuh Ready' is on the next album, but agree that I don't think it will. Feel like it was more of a test single to see how a quite different sounding track would be received by the public.
October 24, 20195 yr I feel a Greatest Hits would work extremely well if released. As much as I would like one, greatest hits are almost redundant now but if different versions were done of the hits then that might work better!
October 25, 20195 yr As much as I would like one, greatest hits are almost redundant now but if different versions were done of the hits then that might work better! Yeah I can’t see Calvin jumping on the orchestra bandwagon anytime soon tbh!
