March 8, 20205 yr I watched Belgium 2004 in a bar in France. Let's not forget one of the scariest accidents in the modern era see: Button vs Baumgartner I couldn't recollect the accident at all until I looked it up on youtube. On doing so, my reaction was 'oh I remember that', and then I thought, it just goes to show how much safer the sport is nowadays, when something like that feels so... innocuous, compared to when I first started watching races.

March 16, 20205 yr Author Well that one was just pure, unadulterated bonkers wasn't it. The invader did the same at the 2004 Olympics Men's Marathon and I think appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2009.

March 19, 20205 yr Hmmm wasn't a great race in isolation but the uniqueness of 4 drivers still competing for the title certainly added to the intrigue. Best/most notable moments were the Schumacher crash lap 1 & Alonso blaming Petrov for ruining his title  That was also the race that RBR threw Webber under a bus for Vettel and it remained like that for their entire partnership.
