after hearing the album, I'm downgrading my prediction, has zero replayability, you hear it once you never wanna hear it again, really really poor, lack of ideas, lack of cohesion, I'd rate a 2/10, no wonder they're already talking about the next record, in 3 months they're gonna pretend this never existed

I'¨haven't seen any reviews, wonder if anyone cares, wonder if Pitchfork will even review it
Yeah the consensus very much seems to be that this is their best album for quite a while, you're pretty much the only person I've seen saying it's bad lol ~ It has a score of 73 on Metacritic so far which is actually just barely their 2nd highest ever ('A Rush Of Blood To The Head' has 80, 'Parachutes'/'X&Y'/'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends' all have 72 and the rest of their post-VLV stuff is in the 60s). Of course that number might still change but it's undeniably had a better reception than their last 3 albums. (It also has their 2nd highest user score on Metacritic behind AROBTTH for what it's worth).
I listened to the album on the bus home today and the thing about it is it's not commercial or MOR. It's very experimental and will go down well with critics. I don't think i will return to it much again but I like commercial Coldplay that's why.
