It's nothing like elevator music, it's a step up from the debut in just about every way. Harry's carved his own lane and it's paying off so well thus far both commercially and critically. Excuse my stanning but I think "elevator music" is wildly inaccurate.

I did expect Stormzy to do over 600k but that’s still decent. Needed a bigger number to beat Lad Baby but guarantee’s #2 at least.

Harry's not streaming much worse than Stormzy, especially when you consider the top 2 songs per album are downweighted. Physicals really could decide this week!

'Own It' is up 61% on Spotify from the same day last week, and he seems to be doing even better on Apple Music which counts more (although as ever no way to gauge exactly what kind of increase he's had there). Using 'Beautiful People' as a reference point, that had a ~42% Spotify streams increase compared to the Friday before his album release, and that ended up translating pretty uniformly into a ~43% overall sales increase for the whole week. If Stormzy replicates that he'd be on for sales of nearly 78k this week - I think that sounds a little too high but somewhere in the 65-75k range seems possible? Which I still think would give him a very good chance of beating LadBaby (until I see some numbers I'm refusing to believe he's actually going to increase his sales from last year while making the same dumb joke xx)

 

How wishful is my thinking here :P
