Well, on Saturday I saw it said 'Ready to despatch' on the woolworths website so gave it a go, thinking it would never turn up.

 

This morning it arrived on my doormat! :o

 

I was shocked but happy. The cover is perdy!

I got one this morning too! Although not from Woolworths.

 

It's lovely! But maybe it's not a good thing that they seem to be easy to get hold of.

Yeah it isn't meant to be out until next February but some silly shops have shipped it anyway, probably because it was pushed back so late on.

I bought the single and everything, it's a great track, there is no chance in HELL it deserved #79. -_-

#79 was so disappointing for the single it deserved so so much better,lucky ye getting the album so soon,my only worry is if one to many outlets dis patched it now it will lower its sales in its offical release

 

Congrats Dazzle. I think you got lucky - they must have shipped the album before the news came through to hold them back. There seems to have been a lot of mis-communication to retailers.

 

#79 was dissappointing for 'Last Year' but I hven't heard the song played on the radio once. I've heard lots of Lucie's singles from 'Breathe In' being played recently but nothing new and no mention of the new single/album. Maybe the single wasn't pushed enough.

 

On a side note, do you think that when the album comes out next year we'll still get the same version that has been produced for release now, or will we see a bonus track or a new cover perhaps???

I wondered that ... but I assume CD's are sat in a warehouse/store right now ... it'd be costly to them to make 500,000 new CD's!

I do wonder if they will make a new version for next year but yeah it would be very costly so maybe not. Apparently the CDs are also out on the shelves in Asda stores...? :huh:

 

Apparently it all counts for next year though, I'm so damn confused.

I went to my local Asda this morning - they've removed them from the shelf. The guy told me the cd's were faulty or some such rubbish and that the album wont be released until next year.

 

I agree, I think it would be a waste of money for the Mecury to re-do the album but it might be one reason for holding it back.

 

I was thinking though, wasn't Shakira's Oral Fixation Vol.2 delayed? I'm sure it was supposed to be released in Autumn 2005 and actually came out early this year. Then the new version featuring 'Hips Don't Lie' was released a month or two later. Hope they don't do that to us !

Weird! Obviously some excuse they thought up cos they didn't want to admit their mistake lol!

Shakira's album was delayed but it wasn't at the last minute. I saw it coming a good few weeks before when no one played the 'Don't bother' video... and when she failed to turn up on TRL last year! GRRR!

 

And my UK CD is actually faulty! :o Well, 'Alone' is - the rest are fine!

Well done on getting the album. If it does have an impact on sales, you could always buy another copy for a family member/friend as a present in February. ;)

I'll buy another copy for myself when it officially gets released. I'd feel too bad otherwise.

Same here, it's a shame it flopped, not surprising given the lack of airplay.
