July 17, 20204 yr Author Only one actually new song ('Your Eyes Tell') on this BTS release it seems ('Stay Gold' and 'Lights' are exclusive to the Japanese version too but both were already released, the rest of the album is just Japanese versions of songs from 'MAP OF THE SOUL : 7'). It'll definitely only be a purchase for the most hardcore of their fanbase, will be interesting to see how much of an impact they can make with only 3 days of sales. It's charted at #56 today
July 17, 20204 yr $ucce$$ (seriously though that isn't bad for a release that is primarily re-recordings of foreign language songs in a different foreign language )
July 17, 20204 yr Can imagine Ellie has a chance of no1 next Friday she will need around 15k, can only see Juice Wrld holding up!
July 17, 20204 yr Ellie Goulding not achieving Number 1 next would be quite the shock. It's been a poor campaign by her (partly due to the C19) but her name power should be Enough considering she has had a nunber one in the past year in the singles chart.
July 17, 20204 yr Author Yeah I can't see her not doing it, I'd say the main other chance would be perhaps Bob Dylan's vinyl release (no idea how well Boyzlife will do)
July 17, 20204 yr Lianne La Havas' last album opened at #2 with just short of 15k sales, I wouldn't completely rule out her being a contender if her fanbase has stuck with her over the years since that last release? I'd be surprised if Ellie comes anywhere near what her last album did in its first week considering how terribly her last few singles have done, but then again her sales would probably need to tank quite spectacularly for her to not be at least the highest new entry if not #1. Bob Dylan returning to #1 from vinyl sales actually does seem plausible as well tbh.
July 17, 20204 yr Yeh Lianne could be top 5, I loved her first album but have t been fussed on this one, might give it a spin at some stage this week!
July 18, 20204 yr Livepopbars has it as: 1 Ellie Goulding Brightest Blue 2 The Chicks Gaslighter 3 Boyzlife Strings Attached 4 Lianne La Havas Lianne La Havas 5 Massive Wagons House of Noise
July 18, 20204 yr Author The Chicks are showing up at #1 again for me now, Ellie #2, Massive Wagons back up to #3, Lianne #4, JARV IS #5
July 18, 20204 yr oh just read this is the 1st Dixie Chicks studio album since 2006, guess thats why they're doing so well
