West Indies have named a strong squad for September's five-game Twenty20 tour of England.

Fourteen of the 18-strong squad were included in the side at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia earlier in 2020.

All players were given the option to decline selection for any Covid-19-related concern, with Anisa Mohammed the only one to do so.

Kaysia Schultz is the only uncapped played in the squad.

West Indies will play five T20 matches against England from 21-30 September in a bio-secure environment, with games at the Incora County Ground in Derby.

The third T20, on 26 September, will be live on BBC TV - the first time international women's cricket has been on free-to-air television since the 1993 Women's World Cup.

West Indies squad: Stafanie Taylor, Afy Fletcher, Hayley Matthews, Aaliyah Alleyne, Cherry Ann Fraser, Natasha Mclean, Shemaine Campbelle, Shabika Gajnabi, Chedean Nation, Britney Cooper, Sheneta Grimmond, Karishma Ramharack, Shamilia Connell, Chinelle Henry, Kaysia Schultz, Deandra Dottin, Lee Ann Kirby, Shakera Selman.

Tom Banton announced himself on the international stage with a thrilling 71 off 42 balls before rain washed out England's first Twenty20 against Pakistan at Emirates Old Trafford.

The 21-year-old became the youngest England player to score a T20 half-century as he hit four fours and five sixes.

His departure was the first of four wickets to fall for 14 runs, shortly before rain intervened with England 131-6 after 16.1 overs.

Play was abandoned at 21:00 BST, although better weather is forecast for the second T20 of the three-match series at the same ground on Sunday.

Yes I saw some of the match yesterday. The BBC did an all right job, I felt with their coverage.

England pulled off a remarkable fightback to beat Australia by two runs in a thrilling first Twenty20 at the Ageas Bowl.

Chasing 163, Australia were cruising to victory, needing just 39 from 38 balls with nine wickets remaining.

But the dismissal of Steve Smith, one of two wickets to fall in Adil Rashid's final over, sparked a collapse of 4-9 in 14 deliveries.

Ashton Agar was run out off the final ball of the penultimate over, leaving the tourists needing 15 from the final six balls.

Allegations of racism at Yorkshire, made by former player Azeem Rafiq, are being investigated by an independent law firm, the county has confirmed.

They have asked global firm Squire Patton Boggs to lead the investigation.

Ex-Yorkshire spinner Rafiq claimed that "institutional racism" at the club left him close to taking his own life.

In an interview with ESPN Cricinfo, the 29-year-old, who left Headingley in 2018, said he felt he was made to feel like an "outsider" as a Muslim.

On Thursday, Yorkshire chairman Roger Hutton said they would be carrying out a "wider review" of their "policies and culture", as well as investigating Rafiq's allegations.

Lancashire Lightning qualified for the quarter-finals of the T20 Blast with a seven-run win over Yorkshire Vikings.

A late slump saw Lightning post 167-6 after Liam Livingstone (69 off 43) and Steven Croft (58) had put on 130 for the second wicket at Old Trafford.

Adam Lyth and Joe Root (64 off 39) looked to be guiding Yorkshire to victory, but sharp fielding saw both men run out as the visitors fell short.

Meanwhile, Notts Outlaws eased to an eight-wicket triumph over Derbyshire.

The Outlaws, who are unbeaten in the competition, had already secured a quarter-final spot before the game against the Falcons.

England will honour the Black Lives Matter movement during their five-match T20 series against West Indies, says captain Heather Knight.

The first match in the series takes place on Monday at The Incora County Ground, Derby.

"We've had a chat as players and we definitely want to do something to honour the movement," said Knight.

"I'll speak to (West Indies captain) Stafanie Taylor to work out what it will look like for both teams."

The two teams are in separate bio-secure bubbles so Knight has been texting Taylor to discuss how best to mark the movement, but the skipper did confirm England will wear the BLM logo on their shirts.

Kent Spitfires became the latest side to reach the T20 Blast quarter-finals ending holders Essex Eagles' slim hopes of retaining the trophy in the process.

Elsewhere Notts Outlaws saw their unbeaten run ended by neighbours Leicestershire Foxes and Lancashire fell to a record defeat by Durham.

Somerset also won again to keep their quarter-final hopes alive.

Three quarter-final spots will still be up for grabs when the final group matches take place on Sunday.

Securing home advantage will also still be on the line for the five sides already through - Kent, Surrey, Lancashire, Notts and Gloucestershire - after defeats for a couple of in-form sides.

I have been watching the T20 series against the West Indies. Deandra Dottin, where has your bowling been hiding for the first two games? If she had been allowed to bowl her full allocation, who knows what may have occurred? The series could have been a lot closer.

Having said that, it could be that the West Indies are being experimental and trying out different options. The third game was a big improvement on the first two.

Essex captain Tom Westley has publicly apologised on behalf of the team after a Muslim player was sprayed with beer.

Batsman Feroze Khushi had beer poured over him on the balcony at Lord's as Essex displayed the trophy following Sunday's draw with Somerset.

Khushi, 21, was 12th man for the five-day final at the home of cricket.

"As a group, we have come together and discussed the event, and on reflection, we are disappointed we let this happen," Westley said on social media.

Durham have re-signed former England all-rounder Scott Borthwick from Surrey on a five-year contract.

The 30-year-old rejected a contract extension with Durham in 2016 to join Surrey on a three-year deal.

Borthwick won the County Championship with Surrey in 2018 but will now return to his home county.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Surrey and I'd like to say a big thank you to all of the players, staff and members who supported me," he said.

"I cannot express how excited I am to return to Durham. It's a club where I enjoyed a lot of success and will always be my home.

"I can't wait to get on the field at Riverside and help take Durham back to the top of the game."

Borthwick won his only England Test cap against Australia at Sydney in 2014 and also played two one-day internationals and one T20 international in 2011.
