Episode 1 of Normal People has consolidated to 6.91m after 28 days and including all devices.

One of the standout ratings of the year so far - huge for a BBC Three commission!! It was also the most watched BBC show that week.

Also EastEnders desperately needs another Boris boost - it's now down y-o-y after putting in some impressive y-o-y climbs at the start of lockdown.

Huge!! It had 6.2m last night which I’d say is a pretty decent retention with it losing the Sunday boost!!

I don’t think the BBC expected it either as they put all of the episodes immediately on iPlayer and originally commissioned it for BBC 2 and only shifted it due to Covid / lack of new content.

I think that's pretty much how the ratings looked like before the summer. Corrie being 1m ahead of Emmerdale and 2m ahead of EastEnders has definitely been the standard this year.
Hollyoaks e4 episode have only been managing around 300,000 - 380,000 all week. I’d assume their only managing around 600,000 on C4 atm

Channel 5's All Creatures Great and Small rated 3.3m in the overnights for its first episode, the highest rating for the channel since February 2016 with the relaunch of The X Files (3.7m).

In the official ratings, its grown to 5.02m (5.04m across all devices). The highest rating on Channel 5 is Euro 2000 Qualifier: Poland v England which rated 5.63m - All Creatures Great and Small could beat that with 28-day data included.

ITV's Des rated 5.4m on Monday night - the biggest launch for a drama on ITV this year - with 4.8m tuning in on Tuesday and 5.2m last night (peaking near 6m).

A strong 8.6m (42.2%) for the Strictly launch show last night - I believe that's up on the last couple of years!

It also gave the surrounding BBC One schedule a much needed boost. It will be interesting to see if Little Mix: The Search gets a boost next week (assuming it's back).

Great to see! I think people really needed Strictly this year - something fun, familiar and reliable! Ratings could be up for the rest of the series too.

Strictly Launch Shows (Since 2010):

2010: 7.07m (37.5%) [Peak: 8.02m (38.5%)]

2011: 7.62m (37.3%) [Peak: 8.92m (41.4%)]

2012: 7.99m (40.2%) [Peak: 9.76m (44.8%)]

2013: 8.43m (41.3%) [Peak: 9.39m (44.1%)]

2014: 8.43m (33.7%) [Peak: 9.40m (38.3%)]

2015: 8.69m (41.7%) [Peak: 9.70m (45.7%)]

2016: 9.26m (46.5%) [Peak: 10.11m (47.5%)]

2017: 8.78m (44.8%) [Peak: 9.48m (47.8%)]

2018: 8.06m (40.9%) [Peak: 8.50m (43.6%)]

2019: 7.80m (44.7%) [Peak: 8.30m]

2020: 8.60m (42.2%) [Peak: 9.00m]

Gogglebox had an overnight high of 4.4m, predicted to consolidate to over 6m.

And with no Little Mix dragging down the Sunday night schedule, Top Gear increased by 1.2m last night and a good start for new political drama Roadkill. I expect that figure for Top Gear is more what the BBC were expecting by moving to One instead of the 3.1m it got the last two weeks!

Top Gear - 4.3m (20.8%)

Roadkill - 5.1m (28.5%)
