January 11, 20205 yr Was not expecting Bieber's second wind on iTunes to have had enough of an impact to put him up to the top 5 wow - not complaining about him pushing down 'Dance Monkey' and 'Someone You Loved' though. Although having said that I actually liked 'Yummy' a bit less on second listen oops. (Still don't think it's quiiite as bad as many are making it out to be although it's certainly pretty mediocre and he can do much better). Very uninteresting chart beyond that, I'm thrilled to see 'Blinding Lights' managing to get top 10 this week though, it's great that at least one of The Weeknd's two singles has shown actual longevity, hope it'll continue to rise. Also great to see 'The Box' rising well throughout the week to be as high as #16, hopefully comfortably top 10 next week - and very glad Radio 1 has now got a slightly less jarring edit for it after last week where the instrumental totally cut out wherever words were blanked out :lol: 'Savage' is the better of the two new entries this week and I think I like it slightly more than 'So High' but still nothing really essential, MIST has had better songs. Quite frustrating that R1 kept skipping over actual current hits to play soooo many of the reset older songs - could they not have spared one or two of the worn out 2019 hits to play 'My Oh My' or 'Falling'? :drama: Scott reading out the list of artists who have done the chart double in the last 5 years has alerted me that that's a surprisingly short list. Mark Ronson seems like a bit of an outlier compared to the rest on that list who all feel like legitimate megastars - not that Mark isn't a huge name himself but just not quite in the same way Drake, Ed, Gaga, Sam and Stormzy are.
