The idea of RE-promoting the GH album is totally beyond my intelligence... -_- and so is the intelligence amongst the management of AATW. -_-
Dannii has had many hits. Isn't it 14 top 20s? Its not fair to say she has never had a hit when she clearly has.

but none of them is exceptionally, legendary huge.

I personally disagree. Who do you love now and All I wanna do for examples were some of the biggest hits of their years. I know that's just two, but she does have signature songs.

Funnily enough, who do you love now was released in the same year as can't get you out of my head. :P

Point? I said One of the biggest songs.

Now now, children were all friends.

Kylie and Dannii can co-exist in the same year and release songs at the same time but it seems they don't do it alot, or that Dannii doesn't seem to release alot.

I wasnt starting a debate. I just wanted to stress that Dannii has had some notable hits under her belt :)

Well she has, but some people still compare her to Kylie.

It shouldnt because its pointless but sadly it does happen

My apology here, I have absolutely no intention to compare Dannii to Kylie but I said it's just a coincident that who do you love now was released in the same year as can't get you out of my head.

However, I am still not convinced that Dannii is still eligible for a GH album. Yes, who do you love now, I begin to wonder, you won't forget about me, all I wanna do, put the needle on it... yes, they are all hits in the UK, but not worldwide.

On the other day I was talking about Dannii to my friend and she said Dannii can't release a GH album while she has never had any "worldwide hits", then I said all I wanna do is one of the main hits and then she said if she sings it.

In the UK she has racked up enough top 20 hits to qualify for a greatest hits. But even world wide, Love & Kisses enjoyed mild success in the UK, Australia and even Japan. Neon Nights spawned international success also. Giving her top 10's in france, a top 20 in Germany (that's a huge market) - The album charted in the UK, France, Germany and Japan. It all adds up. I Begin To Wonder was bubbling under the top 100 in the States - that sounds like nothing but considering it takes about 200 000 or so physicals to get into the top 100, you can get an idea of what it must have sold if it was simply "bubbling under". And if you even look at her past few singles, they have all charted in Europeon countries. I am not saying she is a majorly succesful artist but she does enjoy mild success on an international level (to a point)

Its a matter of knowing your stuff really. and that's not to sound rude or patronising

So despite me listing other countries where she has charted you are not...convinced. You say she has not had international success, I have listed some of it

Well if you're gonna talk like that then acts like Girls Aloud shouldn't have a greatest hits album. As they are relatively unknown outside the UK.

Personally i loathe the whole Hits and Beyond project but i don't think it's unusual for Dannii to have a UK hits package as she has had 19 top 40 uk hits.

And although the person on the street might not remember many of them they were still top 40 hits back when you had to sell a LOT more records than you do now.

Sorry oz but you wrong. It doesnt take 200.00 to get into the top 100 at all. They barely even have a physicals chart. Its mainly airplay and downloads. For example this week Snoop Dogg's "That's That $h!t" featuring R. Kelly rockets 85-20 in its second week, fueled by 35,000 downloads so it doesnt take that much becuase its maonly airplay.

But i still think she def deserves a greatest hits collection.

Its a combination of airplay, physicals and downloads. Neon Nights sold 40, 000 copies in the states yet only went to 198 on the top 200. "I Begin To Wonder" would have sold a considerabel amount also despite not making the top 100. My point isnt the USA. Making 104 on any chart will hardly get you noticed. I was just trying to get accross that she has had hit and miss successful in other countries. like germany, france etc

I totally agree with u. I was just disagreeing on the 200.000 to get in the top 100 which is no where near true. The billboard is manly airplay. Downloads have only recently been a big issue. Pysicals havent been an issue for well over 10 years
