April 11, 200718 yr I've done some research :smoke: Apperently they have sold 160m albums, but they have some double disc albums, therefor record company's count for two discs. Therefor, her is their estimated sales per album. :smoke: Thanks to UKMIX and myself :kink: * Boy (1980,~3.7 million copies) * October (1981, ~3.6 million) * War (1983, ~10.2 million) * The Unforgettable Fire (1984, ~8.4 million) * The Joshua Tree (1987,~28.3 million) * Rattle and Hum (double album, 1988,~14.6 million (29.2m discs)) * Achtung Baby (1991, ~17.6 million) * Zooropa (1993, ~7.8 million) * Pop (mars 1997, ~7 million) * All That You Can't Leave Behind (2000, ~12.1 million) * How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb (2004, ~10.2 million) * No Line On The Horizon (2009, ~ 5 millon) * Under a Blood Red Sky (concert, 1983,~9.9 million) * Wide Awake in America (mini-album, 1985, ~ 2.7 million) * The Best of 1980-1990 (compilation, 1998, ~18.5 million) * The Best of 1990-2000, (compilation 2002, ~7.4 million) * U218 Singles (compilation, 2006, ~5.5 - million) Total:172.6 million. However, if you count for double disc for R&H, then you get near 175m. Then the two 'Best Of's' album were also available in special edition 2 disc version with B-side CD's, so it is easily between over 180m. :yahoo: And then singles sales and it must be over 200m. ^_^ Edited December 22, 200915 yr by Scotty
April 11, 200718 yr Double discs count as 2 sales? :o  Yes. Record companys tend to do that at times. However, it does'nt mean double the actual sales though, just double the shipment, they go by the number of discs shipped I think. But I think it may only be in some places, such as the US. -_- Nevertheless, record companys definatly count double albums as double sales. ^_^ See. Anothe reason why Robbie should've added a B-sides CD to the Greatest Hits. Instead of being on 50m album sales he would be on between 57.5-58m.
