I've always said I don't mind the drag as long as he also appears as his usual masculine self too and I'll stick with that. B)

I actually think he looks quite pretty in that close up :o :D And I certainly like him in the white tuxedo, they can bring that video on, it sounds interesting. :yahoo:

Found in an other forum.....

the white suit with the black shirt is nice although the hair is a bit :elvis:, but the 'female pictures'

I also prefer rob 100 % pure manly

Here is the article from yesterdays Sun. ^_^

Robbie's frocky horror showThe Sun.

ROBBIE WILLIAMS appears to be wearing UMA THURMAN’s wig from Pulp Fiction for the video to his new single, She’s Madonna.

As you can see here, Robbie has opened his dressing-up box again and dolled himself up with a gang of LA’s finest drag queens.

The video for the track, co-written with the PET SHOP BOYS, has me baffled. It doesn’t feature MADONNA or any Madonna lookalikes.

In fact, the only link to Madge is that the promo’s Swedish director, Johan Renck, previously worked with her on the Hung Up video.

But then Rob’s vids have always been a bit Misunderstood.

He's Robbie ... inset, she's Madonna

He shot the wacky promo in Los Angeles during a break from his record-breaking world tour. I can reveal the success of his gigs means he WILL receive a nomination for Best Live Act Brit.

In the video Robbie cuts a strange figure in a black bobbed wig, tons of spooky eyeshadow and smeared red lipstick. The last time he smothered himself in this much slap was so he could Entertain Us – and he will certainly get a few laughs with this.

The vid features appearances from drag queen ALEXIS ARQUETTE, COURTENEY COX’s brother-in-law.

But I think Rob needs to take more lessons in dressing like a laydee. It isn’t convincing with his hairy chest and tattoos poking out of the low- cut dress. Thankfully he returns to vintage Rob in a JOHN TRAVOLTA-style Saturday Night Fever suit to throw some shapes, right. The track is one of the best – and easily the most catchy – from his Rudebox album and is out on March 19.

The video will be available to watch exclusively online from Friday, on bbc.co.uk/radio1 for free and to Inner Sanctum subscribers on robbiewilliams.com for 72 hours.

One of the reasons I like Robbie is cause he does'nt take himself so bloody serious all the time, he is just having a a laugh and I for one think it will be hilarious

The release date is FAR to late though. The album is virtually dead now in the UK especially, he needs to get the song on the radio's NOW. However remember with Lovelight, they showed the vid too early and by the time it got released people had become tired of it. Bloody EMI again.

I agree  :o

I think I'm not going to like that video...

And, btw my friend saw that video already on RTL (Croatia). So, Hot Fudge was right about that, I guess.

Guess Who Else Likes to Dress in Drag?

Robbie Williams... but it's for a video!

Robbie Williams has never been the kind of singer that shies away from a good challenge and I imagine we all learned that once the video for 'Let Me Entertain You' came out, the British star will do the same again, as he is now shooting for the clip for 'She's Madonna'.

For those who aren't in the know, the track is from Robbie's latest album, 'Rudebox', and it is the same that allegedly got movie director Guy Ritchie enraged. It all started after the singer recorded the song, played it to Madonna and she, thinking that it was some sort of homage or tribute paid to her, she gave it her 'blessing'.

Later on, the British press began writing (or, more likely, speculating) that the lyrics of the song were, in fact, not meant to sing Madonna's praise, but to attack her hubby Guy. The director, at the time he met his now wife, was in a relationship with TV presenter Tania Strecker that he broke off with the words 'Look, you know I really love you, but she's Madonna'.

Robbie couldn't pass this opportunity of making fun of such a public figure as Guy is and put down the entire thing in the lyrics of his song. As a matter of fact, the chorus for 'She's Madonna' include the same words with which Guy allegedly dumped poor Tania.

The video is now shooting in Britain. The surprise that Robbie has for his fans doesn't consist in including images of the Material Girl or look-alikes of her but in the fact that he appears in drag. In the opening scenes, Robbie is seen in a black sparkling dress and a wig that resembles very much the one Uma Thurman wore in 'Pulp Fiction'. Add to that lots of black eyeliner and eyeshadow and smeared red lipstick and you know what to expect once the video comes out.

Meanwhile, you should totally check out the song below. Many say it's the best yet off his latest album and, truth be told, it does mark Robbie's return on the music stage... with a bang!

]Robbie Williams teams up with Pet Shop Boys on new single!

Posted on January 19 2007

Robbie Williams returns with a pulsing new single 'She's Madonna', a collaboration with Pet Shop Boys, on Saturday March 10. Taken from last year's Motorola ARIA Chart #1 'Rudebox' album, 'She's Madonna' sees Robbie Williams, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe forming their long threatened super group in one of Rudebox's most acclaimed moments.

On top of Robbie's third single from 'Rudebox' comes news of Robbie's nomination at the 2007 Brit Awards for Best British Live Act. This award is chosen by BBC Radio 2 listeners with Robbie up against George Michael, Guillemots, Kasabian and Muse. The awards will be announced at Earls Court, London on 14 February.

'She's Madonna' is a dynamic piece of synth pop balladeering at its very finest from the unconquerable trio and is one of two tracks that Robbie and Pet Shop Boys recorded for the 'Rudebox' album.

The single is backed by spectacular new mixes courtesy of Kris Menace and Chris Lake that look set to tear up dancefloors across the world, and follow in the lineage of incredible remixes from Rudebox already set by the likes of Switch, Soulwax, Mark Ronson and Chicken Lips amongst others.

Robbie Williams has a long tradition of delivering iconic videos for his tracks, She's Madonna's accompanying clip is no exception, and shows Robbie as we have never seem him before. It was shot recently in Los Angeles during a break before the final Australasian leg of his World tour.

The video features appearances from some of LA's most famous and infamous drag queens including most notably Alexis Arquette (brother of the famed Arquette acting family siblings Patricia, Rosanna and David) and was made with Swedish director Johan Renck, whose previous video credits include William's 'Trippin' promo and acclaimed video for the likes of Beyonce, The Streets and Madonna herself. It will be available to watch exclusively online from this Friday Jan 19th on www.robbiewilliams.com for a period of 72 hours.

Robbie Williams has just completed the final leg of his record breaking 'Close Encounters' World tour, playing to over 3 million before finishing in Melbourne on December 18th.

The single 'She's Madonna' is released on March 10.
