why has he recorded Bongo Bong for nothing? It has been released in Turkey and entered the charts.

 

I love the continental sound of it. I rather think he recorded it because he wanted too anyway, regardless of any big ideas of making a major hit with it.

I think the track was supposed to have a wider release, especially in UK... they even used that Lily to add some flavour to the song... :o (oh well, maybe this is why the whole Rudebox album has such a bad karma in Uk... )

Like others I think he's asking for a flop with She's Madonna. :puke2:

No promotion, no B sides... I've already heard quite a few (die hard) fans say they won't buy it, because there's no B side. So if those won't by it, who will ? :cry:

I'm afraid we're in for another Sin Sin Sin disaster, chartwise. But then I ask myself: does it still matter ?

The press already say he is a flop anyway, nothing but no. 1 would be good enough anyway.

Still, it's a shame. She's Madonna is a fantastic song imo and it would deserve to be a hit, but it will be far from that the way EMI (or Rob's management or he himself or whoever makes the important decisions...) go about it.

I really wish there would be no more single releases at all if it's done like that. What's the f***ing point. All it will be good for is that it gives the press more fuel to slag him off. And TT's new single being released a week earlier won't help either. -_-

Once more, if you look outside the UK things look a bit brighter. Some interesting and encouraging info from the chart thread on purerobbie: She's Madonna is no. 1 in the Italian airplay charts and it has already entered the official charts ins Sweden on downloads only (at no. 11 even if I remember correctly). I've always had a feeling the track could do really well in Europe, fingers crossed

Thats great news, he always seems to do better elsewhere than in his own country sadly these days.

 

 

I will buy the single, but will take the online shopping option instead :P and reverse the the cover when I get it :lol:

 

Its at number 10 ( from 13 last week ) in The Euro Airplay Hot 100, so it looks like the other european countries like it.

EMI are total S**T though with this no promotion thing -.

There is now talk of a new Swing Album being released in the Summer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - hope they do more TV advertising this time & keep away from setting up too many stupid & unnecessary websites ( not everyone has a PC capable of downloading ) - they need to gat a grip on reality.
