Oh yes

He should hire TT's PR team and then he would be appearing on every single tv show imaginable.

Robbie is getting a lot of airplay in Holland so hopefully the single is doing very well

I've typed up this review from John Earls (the Indie darling reviewer from Teletext)

' What nonsense to name Williams's most diverse LP worst of 2006 at the NMEs. Pet Shop Boys co-write and produce their best collaboration since the Results album they did for Liza Minelli with similarly unabashed, extravagant pop. 8/10.'

a lot of airplay here too, I hear it almost everytime I turn the radio on

Just read on UKMIX, that it is now #16 in the mids :cheer:

Come on everyone, keep downloading. It might go top 15 :cheer:

I'm pretty impressed with no. 4 in Germany. I think that's his best chart position there ever for a single that has not been the first one of an album. Although I'm not sure where Road to Mandalay/ Eternity went, but Eternity was a new track, so... well done to the Germans and Rob

As for the UK, maybe Never Touch that Switch should have been the new single. Or Bongo Bong after all.

I'm trying to laugh about it, otherwise I'd have to cry. Although I have to say, I was expecting even worse than Top 20, hope it can maintain that until Sunday.

Of course the press will scream FLOP but they would with every RW release that doesn't sell bucketloads, Top 10 still wouldn't have been good enough. -_-

i though this may have done better as the pet shop boys fans woulb be buying it also, its a better single and the last 2 singles he released and deserves to have donebetter than rudebox,

i wonder the album is as it hasnt been on the top 75 for a few weeks now?

IMPORTANT !!!! To all non UK-fans, there is a way to help Rob's sales in the UK charts.

You can follow the link to Tesco Downloads http://www.tescodownloads.com/servle...menu/start.htm (then type in Robbie Williams She's Madonna into the search field) and apparently if you download from there it should count towards the UK charts.

Please take that opportunity folks ! I have already done 3 downloads from that site, it was quite easy.

It has nothing to do with quality imo. If he released Angels 2 tomorrow, I doubt it would be #1. There is just a very bad feeling on him lately in the UK. The rest of Europe is loving it for the brilliant track it is and it is the second most popular track in all of Europe. The album is also still selling very well around the world.

I doubt the album will start selling hugely in the UK again, the press have put so many off buying the album, which is so annoying as it is miles better than most of the bland c**p out there. It will go down as one of the most under-rated albums imo. <_<

And the funny thing is, both Lovelight and She's Madonna (especially) have both got brilliant reviews all around. it's all the single Rudebox's fault. It put so many off buying the album along with all the negetivity from the press imo. -_-

I hate to throw the spanner in the works with the Tesco site. But if you click on their choice options it says Tesco Jersey.

Books CDs DVDs DVD Rental Games Music Downloads Tesco Jersey http://www.tesco.com/books/

So if you download from a Jersey distributor I think it does not count towards the UK charts.

I might be wrong, if I am apologiese, I am just making you aware.

Call me a stupid American (ok, no really don't)...but what the hell is Jersey?

:o :o

Well, it would have been to good to be true.

But I guess it can do no harm if non UK fans continue downloading from there, just in case it does count.

About your question dazzleland: I'm not British and I could be totally wrong, but if my memory of cultural studies at college doesn't fail me Jersey is a small island (channel island ?). But surely someone from the UK will be a more reliable source to answer that.

Euro Chart

9th March.

http://www.therobbiewilliamssite.com/shesmadonna2.jpg

Robbie Williams more often publicized for personal problems than record sales in recent months, got a new top 10 hit on the Eurochart as 'She`s Madonna' (Chrysalis), featuring fellow EMI act the Pet Shop Boys, came in at No. 10. That was after debuts of No. 3 in Italy, No. 4 in Germany and No. 5 in Holland; its U.K. release was on Monday.
