Prince Andrew will be 60 on 19th February and No.10 has told local Councils that they must fly the flag on this day as they always do for all Senior Royals. Some aren't happy though. Should they be forced to fly a flag? Edited February 6, 20205 yr by Crazy Chris

February 6, 20205 yr Author No. I agree. Boris should leave it up to individual councils to decide what to do in this instance.
February 6, 20205 yr This won't cause any problems in NI..... Here flags can be a source of great conflict because obviously not everyone in NI views the British fla as the flag of the country do this would just cause unneeded conflict as unionist have another day they can fly the flag. Most councils in NI which are majority nationalist don't fly a flag and unionist majority councils fly it every day.
February 6, 20205 yr I really don't think they should have to at this point. What does the government propose to do if any councils refuse? I guess Liverpool Council will find out!
