Hmmm says on UKMix it is the Spice Girls with 76,000,000 worldwide?

really? I thought they'd sold like 50? According to wikipedia, DC has sold 60 million, but wiki on the spice girls says over 53 million :unsure:

I do think 76,000,000 is way too much! :wacko:

I've read loads and there seems to be a lot of dispute between Spice Girls & Destiny's Child. I personally think it's the former but it's clear the top 5 in some order consists of:

 

Spice Girls, Destiny's Child, TLC, The Supremes, Dixie Chicks.

Album Sales:

Spice Girls - 38 million

Destiny's Child - 34 million

 

Single Sales:

Spice Girls - 18 million

Destiny's Child - 14 million

 

Total Record Sales:

Spice Girls - 56 million

Destiny's Child - 48 million

There's loads of different figures for each. I KNOW for a fact Spice Girls have sold 15,000,000 of Spice. 10,000,000 of Spiceworld and 1,000,000 of Forever WW so I don't know why UKmix are saying that unless they count shipments?

 

But then here in the UK DChild have a career total of about 4,000,000 to the SG 13,000,000 so we'll never know probably.

Apperently DC have sold nowhere near as much as it's made out. Also they are not the best selling girl group ever. I remember reading a thread about it on UKMIX around the time when they were awarded the World Music Award..

Spice sold 7,000,000 in the US though and Spiceworld 4,000,000...

Dunno about DC. :(

The SG were pretty much everywhere and huge all over in such a small space of time whereas CD probably dont notch up that many sales outside America & UK I dont know anything about their selling patterns :P

well, Bananarama were the biggest selling female act up til Spice Girls.... so it should surely be them instead of the Supremes?

Destiny's Child hold the record i'm sure, they were presented with an award for selling 100m records.
