Lol. I mean I don't mind a long song title, but if it actually has a meaning and some relevance.

Exactly... Even silly titles like "Hard Rock Hallejlujah" actually have more of a relevance... A 'Hallejlujah' is an expression of joy and celebration, well, that Lordi song is certainly that alright, it's a bloody good laugh....

Moving it to alternative forum, it aint punk or metal enough in my opinion.

in my opinion it's whimmpy $h!te that needs throwing into the bin, not that the indie/alternative forum is a bin  it's just somewhere in which the thread can carry on without being put in the trash can.

No, not a bin, just a more appropriate place for a band like this to be discussed.... It sure aint Metal, it aint Punk either, it'd be like someone starting a Cradle of Filth thread in a Country and Western forum.......

Absolutely nothing Lucy, nothing at all.... Like all of 'Emo', it's all about totally empty-headed sloganeering that says and means nothing.... As the Bard once said "Much ado about nothing".... And as another great man once said "A lot of sound and fury signifiying nothing at all"..... Both quotes are apt descriptions of the Emo/Kerrang!! generation.....

Actually, 'This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race' is apparently referring to Pete Wentz' frustration with the emo 'scene', although I fail to see how it compares with an arms race TBH

Which brings me back to my original point, it's empty-headed, a slogan meaning really very little... Instead, why not call the song "This Aint A Scene, It's a Bunch of Image Obsessed Corporate Whores". I think you would agree that title actually nails the whole frustration angle down.... One of the greatest song titles ever was by Nirvana - "Radio Friendly Unit Shifter", also a song about the author's frustration with what his music had become, but I think you'd agree, Kurt actually chose a very, very good title that summed up exactly what he wanted to express....

well i suppose its probably punk as in an American Pop Punk (or Disneypunk maybe) kinda thing

Put it in the trash can then. This has far more of a place in the metal / punk section than indie as that's what kids who listen to this $h!t call it.

It's definately a grower, I didn't want to like it.. but in the end I couldn't resist.
