Skeleton Key - with Kate Hudson and Gena Rowlands. Very, very enjoyable and scary in a Wicker Man / Stepford Wives (originals) sort of way.

Oh, I really like that film, very atmospheric and foreboding, and the editing/pacing was mighty good; pretty good twist too.

'Martyrs'

I bought it from HMV today after seeing it online thanks to a couple of people talking about it a while ago on here. Seriously one of the best and most disturbing/uncomfortable films I have ever seen in my life. It truly is astounding in every way possible!

I think I would give it a 10, easily.

HIGHLY recommended. Especially to those who are fans of subtitled horror/psychological films (it's in French).

Watched this yesterday, that ending was so horrific! The whole eye thing felt very Tree of Life.

Never would have expected that skin part at the end though. I'd love to know how they did it wether it was on top of her actual skin or CGI whatever.

Also nearly got a bit teary eyed when she'd released that girl from the lab and gave her a bath and she held her hand. BLUB :(

Scream 4 - As good as I remember.

The Net - A hidden gem in Sandra Bullock's career, really enjoyed it.

Bought 'Bandits' (2001) and Babel (2006) for my Cate Blanchett collection, both brilliant films! I now have 10 of Cate Blanchett's films on DVD :)

A strangely enjoyable film (bought for £2 at Grainger) called No Vacancy - with Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale. It was a bit weird in I'm not sure if it was an average cinema film or a pretty darned good 'made for TV' film. It also had a surreal look about it - the kind of look you associate with Canadian films (I'm thinking films like The Michelle Apartments).

The bad guy in it reminded me of Ned Flanders too!

V For Vendetta - absolutely, frigging brilliant! Was put off watching this earlier than now as some reviews had said 'if you liked The Matrix - you'll like this' and I hated The Matrix. Glad I bought it now (cheap at Graingers).

Going The Distance

Better than I thought, a nice little film. Christina Applegate was my personal highlight:

"Dry humping is no fucking joke"

Going through a Norman Reedus phase at the moment! Six Ways To Sunday - one weird, weird but totally brilliant film. Debbie Harry as Norman's Oedipal mother!

The film ends with them having it away, she hangs herself (or did Norman kill her) and her dead body in a body bag on a bus with him and his girlfriend heading for California)

If you thought Norman Bates' relationship with his mother was a little strange - just watch this one! I'd give it 11/10.

Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer. I have to say though - I was a bit disappointed. Even for a low budget film it wasn't very good. Michael Rooker was good - but the film? Meh!

Just watched Martha Marcy May Marlene, and it just blew me away. I'm a massive fan of Roman Polanksi (in particular Repulsion) and this is the first film that i have seen that comes close to matching it.

Brilliantly shot, and surpirse star performance from Elizabeth Olsen :o

I watched Corpse Bride recently on DVD. I always enjoy it, it's quite sweet. The idea of it is so odd though  But it works.
