I get the comparisons to both for sure but this is head and shoulders above both imo!

Same here, was never a fan of either of the aforementioned but this is different :D

Definitely the lovechild of I hate u, I love u and Let You Down!

Well I really liked those 2 and I really dislike this one. I dont find them similar in delivery. Those at least had a melody and were sung. This is monotonous and a "talk" song, nowhere near as good.

“i hate you i love you” was the very definition of a “talk” song 😮

I really like them all tbh! i hate u, i love u was MASSIVE in Australia back then but didn't get to the point of overexposure, somehow it managed to stay on the radio/playlists for months without getting too in your face.
really don't get the comparison, this is much much better than I hate u, I love u or Let You Down
I see the similarities to I hate u, I love u but both the chorus and the rapping in this are much better

I’m enjoying an “instrumental” version of this song right now without the rapping.

I get that it’s a repetitive chorus, but there’s something calming about it.

Also, I would argue that the first song to start this trend was way back in 2000 when Eminem featured Dido on the #1 hit Stan which incidentally also has a similar themed lyrics featuring a hot drink and getting out of bed in the chorus;

My tea's gone cold I'm wondering why I

Got out of bed at all

The morning rain clouds up my window

And I can't see at all

And even if I could it'll all be gray

Put your picture on my wall

It reminds me, that it's not so bad

It's not so bad

Made this into a thread for his forthcoming EP poems of the past, out on Friday!

600x600bb.jpg

1 death bed (coffee for your head) [feat. beabadoobee]

2 im used to it

3 ill come back to you (Powfu, Sarcastic Sounds & Rxseboy)

4 a world of chaos (Powfu, Rxseboy, Jomie & Ivri)

5 popular girl, typical boy (Powfu & Sleeping)

6 death bed - bonus remix (Powfu, beabadoobee & blink-182)

Wasn't that fussed with im used to it, but ill come back to you is really nice! Tracks 4 and 5 are new, and 6 seems... intriguing :')

Also a shoutout to this feature that came out a couple of weeks ago, I'm loving it right now!

The EP pre-order got removed so naturally it's not out yet  confusing but I'm sure it'll be out before long!

ill come back to you is so good! I'm loving im used to this too - in fact the whole EP is sounding great so far

death bed is starting to sound a bit overdone but I'm excited to hear the remix and the rest of this EP. In terms of comparing Powfu to gnash and NF he's already surpassed NF in terms of post-breakout singles  gnash has had a few random gems and decent features (MAX's Lights Down Low ) but is very sporadic quality wise

This came out a couple of weeks ago, brand new song 17again - quite different to death bed, it's sung and not rapped!

Such a lovely song, I've been playing it a lot since it came out!
