Hasso, you are so lucky. Please post up every single detail, especially about the music

I am so envious of you. But do have a great time, which I'm sure you will :cheer:

Well done! Have a great time. Don't forget the "have nots" and remember to drink in every detail!

Wouldn't it be great if the gig turned into a meet and greet for everybody present?

Thanks for posting up the Sun article Preston.

I suppose it was inevitable the subject was going to crop up. Best get it over with and put it to rest, where it should have been years ago. Otherwise a pretty good article.

Not long to wait to see it now

Everything is possible! It has happened at some of similar intimate D gigs I've been to.

Nice picture!

I hope they don't spend too much of the documentary on old news stories but this is the first time that Gareth has been able to tell the story in his own words on camera.

Just loving the photo. He looks kinda mature......but still handsome.

Thanks for posting it on here.

Note the Louis Vuitton label inside the jacket. Wonder if he got that when he sang for the official opening of the store in Shanghai?

I suppose they have to cover some old stuff in order that they can move forward to the new stuff. I agree. Let's hope they move swiftly to the new stuff.

I want the album, and I want it now, lol :D

Just got back home and want to tell you the gig was out of this world.

Gareth sang 8 new songs of his album and then 2 once again as encore.

He sang with a live band and he played the keyboards for some of the songs.

I absolutely love all the songs, the sound is a very mature sound and most of them are a bit rocky. Gareth sounded amazing, his voice was strong and he sang with such passion.

He also had a lot of banter in between the songs, and his voice was strong too, only 1 second moment where he had to breath and stop, the rest of his speech was as fluent as most people.

He thanked Simon Fuller (who was present) for enabling him to produce the album he always dreamed of.

Afterwards he come to see us all, and as always he had time for everyone who wanted photos taken or autographs. :D

Again I cant wait for the album, the songs are brilliant, so much better and different to he has done before, and really suited his voice too. :cheer:

From the 3 am. girls daily mirror today.

quote - It looked like the end of the road for Gareth gates when he was dropped by Sony earlier this year but the pop idol runner up isnt through with the music biz just yet. He's signed a massive new deal with Universal and we hear his new album will be out next April. The 22 year old whose managed by pop guru Simon Fuller, says he's had loads of input on the new record so fingers crossed there wont be any cheesey covers - we still havent recovered from Unchained melody.

See, I told you - meet and greet!

How fantastic it all sounds and how wonderful for those who were lucky enough to be there.

Now I can't wait to hear them either.

And the media are saying that Gareth has signed a whopping great contract with Universal.

Simon Fuller means business and he's got the time to focus on a strong campaign for Gareth's relaunch.

From what I gather from people who were there and reports on the various fan sites, this was a tremendous success. 8 well received new songs, 7 of them written by Gareth, looking hot (as ever), speech perfect, and a meet and greet. Can't ask for much more really?

If the Universal thing is true - then even better.

Roll on the documentary :cheer:

This all sounds fantastic. I really hope the Universal thing is true.

From reading the reports it seems Simon Fuller is totally supportive of Gareth's direction and in return Gareth is very happy with the fact he's finally getting the chance to produce and release music he really wants to release. In fact I think someone said his words were `I've finally been able to make the album I've always wanted to make'.

It sounds from what he said last night that he's had a very hard struggle achieving this over the past couple of years, which was obviously why there's been such a long wait, but its all coming right for him now. Thank goodness he stuck out for what he wants.

I want that album too Hasso, hopefully before April too. Did you take any pictures you can post up for us please. I've seen lots on Gareth's sites, but would love to see yours as well if you have any

7 of them written by Gareth

That 7 is only part of the equation apparently. Gareth said he's got lots of others as well

It really was a tremendous performance from Gareth, cant believe how much more grown up he sounded, I really cant wait to hear them all again. :cheer:
I am really, really looking forward to the documentary now. I hope they show a lot of the new music, and the process behind putting the album together.
I went last night . I went as a guest of a ticket winner . Gareth was very surprising, All the songs were great. His voice sounded very different , it was very strong , his performance was more mature than when I last saw him perform. The gig was held in a private club , his fans were ranged mainly 18 to 30's both sexes . That album is going to be a winner ! :cheer: I saw both Simon Fuller and Nicky Chapman at the gig.

Hi Charity, I was surprised too with the music, did not really know what to expect, but each and every song was brilliant. Cant wait to hear it again.

This is a pic I took when Gareth was meeting fans. :D

Thank you for posting up the lovely picture Hasso. I've seen some lovely ones on other sites, but that one is my favourite of all of them I think. Gareth looks so happy talking and joking with his fans. I wonder what he was reading on that piece of paper ;) . He's so at home amongst the fans isn't he, even after being away for so long  .

It's all coming together nicely, isn't it? If it's three weeks until the documentary, it might only be a couple of weeks or less until we get some trailers for it! :yahoo:

I'm gutted I didn't win tickets to the gig, but I'm so happy to read it all went so well.
