As you may know, the second edition of AF Idol has begun. George and I are in charge to pick the songs from Dua Lipa for each round, but we need your help. Although we already have some possible choices, we would like to hear what you think. The theme of round 1 is free choice, so any song from Dua could be sent. However, as a tip, it's better to save the biggest hits until later rounds, so which song do you think it could be a safe and good pick for this round? Please, also consider that there's a triple elimination in this round, so we would like to avoid that too. Also, this round ends on May 3 at 11:59pm. BST.

May 2, 20205 yr oh no, I think it's too weak and it will be triple elimination...too risky I agree. Maybe Hotter than Hell or Hallucinate? The other AFs have huge discographies to choose from

May 2, 20205 yr Maybe Be The One? It's fondly remembered (I think) but not one of Dua's big hitters. If we are talking FN tracks, maybe Cool since BJ seem to love it. Let's really test its popularity.
May 2, 20205 yr Be the One should be saved for later rounds. I’d go for Hotter Than Hell or Scared to be Lonely Actually Cool might be better or Kiss and Make Up. Try save the singles for later rounds.

May 2, 20205 yr Blow My Mind would easily be at least 22nd out of 26th (and therefore safe) I would've thought!? If not *much* higher! It's the sort of song I would've thought Dua would submit in round one!
May 2, 20205 yr I don't have much faith in BYM Mwah but maybe I really underestimate her debut material except her big hits. What about Electricity as a left-field choice?
May 2, 20205 yr I think Blow Your Mind would easily get through the first round. upon research Blow Your Mind came 8th out of 17 songs in the 4th round last year and I don’t think it’s popularity has declined that much so yeah I think it would be a solid decision too

May 2, 20205 yr Author Thank you so much for suggestions! :heart: There are a couple of songs already mentioned in the thread which we're planning to use for later rounds, so we're avoiding to pick them right now. Anyway, besides "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)" as a possible choice, what do you think of an album track from Future Nostalgia like "Cool" or "Love Again"? I haven't seen any mention of the latter, so I'm wondering if it's a good choice or not too. Regarding "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)", I agree that it's a risk, but I think it should scrap the bottom three, unless any of you don't think it's going to happen. How many rounds are there? There are going to be 16 rounds and they are themed, but we're not allowed to say them.
