Anyone know why the 2 Lil Nas X songs climbed back into the top 50?

seems to be TikTok related (as almost anything is), as per Bre's post in Top 100s thread (re:TWIW but I guess it would've had knock-on effect for IB)

 

Thought the 80-55 rise for 'THATS WHAT I WANT' seemed a little bit odd but I see it has had a resurgence on Spotify this week without anyone really noticing (I think). Some quick Google-fu and I see some recent uploads of TikTok compilations featuring the song so I guess it is just belatedly gaining (or regaining) popularity there, not sure why that's only happening now but that's the TikTok hivemind for you!

Interesting 'Overseas' which was the 2nd biggest Spotify track of the week is at 13 on the non ACR chart and 'Heatwaves' at no.4 om Spotify is at 16. Shows that it's not as dominant as it was.

I think it would have been quite close between 7-16, but Overseas and Heat Waves seem to have disproportionately high levels of free streams which are counted at a much lower ratio.

Yeah I estimate about 3k between Easy On Me at 8 and Heat Waves at 16.

 

I think Jim’s point about free stream proportions being higher for some songs and Smint’s point about Spotify being slightly less dominant are both true.

^ Plus of course there’s “Own It” would have been completely blocked by “Dance Monkey”.

Beautiful People also only got to #1 because I Don't Care was on ACR that week.

Ha ha people complain about Ed now but the era with 'I Don't Care' and 'Beautiful People' was truly horrific.

So Ed Sheeran has fewer current top 40 hits in this chart than the official one. Looks like Overpass Graffiti will be staying ahead of Perfect for a while and return to the chart soon after all.

 

Good to see some sales/estimates. Surprised SGU is only 10th for the year after all those weeks in the Top 10, but that's the illusion of ACR.
