Jamelia is back with her second single from her amazing album 'Walk With Me'. In 'Beware Of The Dog', Jamelia cleverly samples Depeche Mode's 1989 hit 'Personal Jesus'. She says: 'The thing was to try not to go overboard with it. The sample is so anthemic in itself. I was determined to do the original song justice.' HMV

I'm not convinced that this'll do as well as everyone thinks. I reckon low top 10.
Top ten as it's not being played as much as I thought it would :( Thought it would be #1 when I first it.
It's really not going to do much. The last single barely made the top 10 despite making top 3 in the airplay charts, the album charted very low and hasn't even been in the top 200 for weeks so BOTD's hardly having any impact on that! Also, it's a very poor rip off of SOS -_-

I think this song could do a "Hey Ya", "Together Again" or an "Angels" by hanging around the charts and not peaking until the New Year when all the awful Xmas mush is dropping down the charts.

I love this song but I'm worried it will get a bit lost in the run-up to Christmas.

Its nowhere near as good as Something About You

 

I disagree completely, I thought 'Something About You' was a weak single, really pants. It also didn't give her as big a comeback as she could have had, and caused the album to bomb for her.

Something About You was a magnificent song, it wasnt a massive hit cos it was a drastic change in direction for her, but still managed to be top10 and hang around for a while. Beware Of The Dog is annoying and has to rely on a sample to be at least catchy. There's just no comparion, SAY is magnificent, BOD is c**p
