Posted November 26, 200618 yr So this is the wildcard round to see which song out of the above list should be put through to the final 20 next month. This is a new round which gives tracks that have done well throughout the year who were unsuccessful in a particular month to have a another try at the final. As you can see the panel (as they are so called) have chosen 1 particular track from each of the big record labels. The choices are as follows: AATW: Cascada - Everytime We Touch Independant record labels: David Guetta v The Egg - Love Don't Let Me Go Data/MOS: Til West - Same Man Apollo: Route 33 Feat. Alex James - Looking Back Positiva: The Source Feat. Candi Staton - You Got The Love (2006 Remix) So due to this new round, 3 songs with the lowest amount of points from this year have now been eliminated from the final leaving space for the wildcard track. I will give the final list after the wildcard track has been chosen. In case you're interested the 3 songs to be eliminated are as follows: Sunblock - I'll Be Ready Chocolate Puma - Always & Forever Chris Lake Feat. Laura V - Changes These songs will not appear in the final 20 list. Anyway happy voting and the result will be given soon. Many thanks, TAW p.s. My vote for the wildcard I think goes to Route 33 - Looking Back, one of my favourite tracks of the year.
November 26, 200618 yr Independant record labels: David Guetta v The Egg - Love Don't Let Me Go even though tbh i actaully like this. i'll agree for its exclusion under the terms thats it two old records mashed up if 'someone' can find a better 'independent' dance record than this (ie its put out by Gut and the indie kids cant have that   )
November 27, 200618 yr I like The Source but I voted for Walking Away. And I'd like to make sure everyone realizes that 99% of the production credit belongs to DJ Tocadisco who remixed The Egg's Walking Away. Whoever added the pre-existing Guetta lyrics was clever but taking Tocadisco's name off the label was criminal. I adore David Guetta but he doesn't deserve credit for this amazing song, the dance record of 2006!! Edited November 27, 200618 yr by Consie
November 27, 200618 yr It was actually David Guetta himself that created this mash-up! I liked it in its original form, but haven't given it a thought since the vocal version came around. Incidentally, The Egg was the track I voted for!
November 27, 200618 yr Well okay, if that's the case then he gets credit for that shrewd decision but I still think the song's strength is its production
November 27, 200618 yr i stand by what i say -_- actually i want both cascada and david guetta vs the egg to go through
November 28, 200618 yr Author Please keep voting you have one more day until I announce the final song through. It's going to be a close one this.
November 28, 200618 yr Cascada. I love 'You Got The Love' but not the remix of it this year. Saps the song of all life.
November 29, 200618 yr Cascada's just a nasty chav-anthem - hardly a contender for 'Dance Record of the Year' (unless you drive a boy racer car with spoilers and under-lighting and think Jennifer Ellison is truly 'cool' and 'hot'). Vile.
November 29, 200618 yr Cascada's just a nasty chav-anthem - hardly a contender for 'Dance Record of the Year' (unless you drive a boy racer car with spoilers and under-lighting and think Jennifer Ellison is truly 'cool' and 'hot'). Vile. Well, none of this applies to me and I still voted it out of the choices.
November 29, 200618 yr Well Aly, you should know better! Why haven't laws been put in place to stop this toy-town chav-tastic euro cheese bollocks being produced??
