Tranmere Rovers have sacked manager Keith Hill despite reaching the League Two play-offs.

Hill, who took over in November with Rovers 13th in the table, guided them to a seventh-placed finish, although they won only two of their llast 11 games of the regular season.

He also led Tranmere to the EFL Trophy final, losing to Sunderland at Wembley.

Assistant manager Ian Dawes will take charge for the play-off semi-final against Morecambe.

^ That is a very odd decision. Relevant article below. Dawes will be assisted by Andy Parkinson.

Salford City have appointed former Blackpool and Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer as their permanent manager on a two-year deal.

The 49-year-old took charge of the Ammies' last 11 games this season after the departure of Richie Wellens, picking up 20 points.

Wellens should just stayed with Swindon after the job he did last season instead of going with the money!
Think Salford just poach the best manager with a good record in that division!

Play-off fixtures look like this, I am hoping for Morecambe to get promotion.

Tuesday 18th May

Newport County vs Forest Green Rovers (20:15)

Thursday 20th May

Tranmere Rovers vs Morecambe (18:00)

Sunday 23rd May

Morecambe vs Tranmere Rovers (12:30)

Forest Green Rovers vs Newport County (18:30)

Hope they both wake up for the play-offs. Tranmere haven't done that great lately either, winning two of the last 11 games of the regular season as Mack pointed out.
