Sam could've released any week during the last 3-4 months. The label shouldn't be upset about losing #1 position just because of the busy release schedule as it's their own fault.

Bringing it out last week would’ve denied Headie One the #1 album

Bruce should easily outsell sam, artists like sam would have easily got the number 1 in the last couple of weeks, I've said the same for kylie I wish the label had brought her release forward. Strictly performance giving joel corry a great boost.

With only 40k needed to number 1 Ariana new single coming Friday will be number 1 600% and poor Sam Smith she's dropping her album on the 30th which means he will be number 2. After half a year of a delay, poor him.

 

I don't feel sorry for him, he will still sell well and it's the labels fault he is releasing on that week. Most important thing is sales, the whole campaign has been messy.

Could I request that we be mindful of Sam's pronouns please - I understand it's easy to forget but a little effort to remember goes a long way! Thanks all.

Sam Smith goes by non-gendered pronouns, so use they/them/Sam rather than he/him.
