BUMP!

Aperently Mark Ronson was on Radio 1 the other night and the presenter Zane Lowe said something about him working with three big acts last year, two of which were fantastic and went onto doing great things but one was "not really going to make reference to it and it's not sort of for us" and Makr was only "partly involved" Mark then went on to say something like "yeh, Liley (Allen) and Amy (Winehouse) produced some fantastic stuff etc ect and then left an obvious silence then said something about not working with any Michael Jackson style egos, than Zane shoated "He's lying"

You can listen again here http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/zanelowe/index.shtml at around 1.15 hrs. -_-

It was'nt what he said as such, but what he did'nt way. <_<

He was dismissing him Jupiter, which says alot about him I should say.

Good won't have to bother to buy his album now.

Article in the Sunday Mail (Scotland)-

Superstar producer Mark Ronson is bringing a new supergroup- including Robbie Williams, Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen- to Scotland. The 31 year old will release an album of funked up covers on April 16- and roped in the stars to provide vocals while he was producing their albums.

Now he is lining up a live show and Robbie and Lily will perform with him when they can. Mark said ' I did a few shows last year with Lily and Amy and it was great. I want to pull it off so it's good enough that if the stars can't be there it will be just as exciting. What if Robbie is stuck in traffic? I want the show iron-tight without the stars so if they come then it's a big bonus.

'Rob will do some shows and it will be fun to have him there. He is such an entertainer'.

'We'll definitely bring the show to Scotland- my mum's parents are from Edinburgh so I wouldn't miss that.'

The album-Version- includes surprising treats like Robbie doing the Charlatans The Only One I Know, Lily on Kaiser Chief's Oh My God and Mark's protege Daniel Merriweather on single Stop Me if You Think You've Heard This One Before, a cover of The Smith's Song.

The stars couldn't wait to work with Mark and the original artists have lapped up the reworking of their classics. He said ' Robbie and Lily jumped at it because there is a tradition of doing covers in England. Robbie spent ages deciding what song to do because he has such a massive knowledge of obscure music. He would text me at 3 in the morning, saying he wanted to do some weird reggae song.

The original artists have been cool. Paul weller and Ricky from the Kaisers love my versions and Morrissey and Radiohead have been raving about theirs. That's great because if any of the artists didn't like my take on their song I wouldn't have done it.'

Mark also revealed he and Robbie will start work on a new album now he is out of rehab. He said ' I am going to LA for a couple of weeks now he is out of the Big House as he calls it. He really got a bum deal on Rudebox as it is a great album. A lot of people were just waiting to knock him whatever he did.

:o

OMG, that is shocking :o

I wish Mark had've had the balls to stick up for Rob and Rudebox on Zane Lowe

I can'r believe he will be touring with Mark though, and is in the producing stages of his new album. I really hope he does'nt release it till next year. He needs time off. :(

Thanks for typing it :D

It does seem very unlikely. But it was in the paper. So it must be true. -_-

I highly doubt Rob will be touring with MR although I could see him doing one show somewhere. Or maybe he's just garnering some publicity and what better than to say that Rob may join him. He's not the only one using that line or using Rob for publicity purposes ;)

Would've been nice if he'd give Rob an honourable mention on that Zane show but seems that's the case with Rob, people don't seem to have the balls to stand up for him when it counts and only gets mentioned when it doesn't really matter all that much and/or when publicity is needed  Anyways, atleast he's given Rob some props in the article.

Look Im not sticking up for MR ... I know he could have said something & he decided to ignore the comments & let it go...... At the end of the day its all about money ... MR needs his album playes in the UK & is not going to upset the DJ's ... the whole bloody music thing is weird as far as I am concerned & very few people have the guts to come out & say things like Rob does ..... I would not mind but the MR album sounds good ( only because of the combination of Artists that MR has managed to bring together on the Album... MR is not a singer, he is a producer who happens to be the IN THING at the moment & who is lucky that the likes of Rob , Lily , Amy & others were willing to record on his album. Rob sounds great on it .

Mark Roson needs these artists more that they need him & he uses them to his advantage ,,, he is also being very cute by not upsetting the media whom he needs to promote his albums....He is in several of the papers this weekend & seems to be flavour of the moment. I can actually see Rob working with him again as they seem to get on well together.

Wait, I'm confused. All along Mark has said great things about working with Robbie...why is he slagging him off now??
He did'nt slag him off as such, just dismissed him when on a radio show. He should've stuck up for him if he thinks so highly of him and Rudebox, but obviously that would'nt have been the 'cool' thing to do considering Rudebox's reception in the UK. <_<

Everything is amazing apart from Robbie 'apperently. Yawn <_<

I would like to have the album version of the song though, if anyone can upload it.
