January 29, 200817 yr some great stuff on the list. never heard medicine before, i love the guitar sound. but what about bands like the pop group, the microphones, beat happening, beck's mellow gold. and sh!t the band this heat. if you haven't heard it, check it out. all great stuff. i am sure there are a thousand other bands that i feel should have been on there but i can't think of them right now.

Cheers for the comments my friend.. My reasons for not having the likes of Galaxie 500 and Royal Trux are pretty obvious - I couldn't find any proper, useable vids on YouTube for either band at the time (I did this list last year...), crappy quality cam-corder jobs or stupid, cobbled-together "manga" videos would hardly do either band any justice .. Beck, I blow hot and cold with, sometimes he's great, other times he's infuriating. I did post up a Happy Mondays track.... I mentioned Soundgarden, Nirvana and Pearl Jam in the same breath purely because they all came out of the Sub-Pop/Seattle scene (which they did..). I didn't post up any Soundgarden or Pearl Jam vids you may have noticed... There's a reason for that - Soundgarden I plan to include in a run-down of Metal/Hard Rock Faves I'm (sort of..) doing, as for Pearl Jam, I dunno what to do with them tbh.....
February 13, 200817 yr Author I've got a few ideas for what you can do with Pearl Jam....  Why does everybody have a hate-on for Pearl Jam...? Is it just because Kurt Cobain called them "c**k rock"? Okay, they're a bit cliched "RAWK" at times (esp "10", which is just such an "LA Hair Metal" album...), but if you listen to albums like "No Code" or "Yield" then you definitely hear an altogether different band....
