Posted November 24, 20204 yr BBC Radio 6 Music have released their list of top 10 albums of this year - I'm particularly happy to see Sports Team, Fleet Foxes, Fontaines and Doves there! 10. Sports Team - Deep Down Happy 9. Doves - The Universal Want 8. Run The Jewels - RTJ4 7. Cornershop - England is a Garden 6. Nadine Shah - K!tchen Sink 5. Bob Dylan - Rough and Rowdy Ways 4. BC Camplight - Shortly After Takeoff 3. Fleet Foxes - Shore 2. Fontaines D.C. - A Hero's Death 1. Sault - UNTITLED (Black Is) Sault I imagine will do well at the Mercury's next year, they're currently an anonymous group so it'll be interesting if they win  What do you think?
November 24, 20204 yr I've listened to six of these so far. That SAULT album looks like it might be worth checking out
November 24, 20204 yr Run The Jewels slightly sticking out like a sore thumb on that list but happy to see them on there! Definitely my fave of the 4 albums on that list which I've listened to, loved Fleet Foxes' album too and Fontaines D.C./Doves are both also good if not quite as consistent.
November 25, 20204 yr I listened to that SAULT album yesterday after seeing it finish top of this and also Rough Trade last week and I like the couple of songs I know by them. It's really good, can see why it's rated so highly and imagine it'll be something I listen to a lot. There's very little else on the rest of this list I'm into though, 6 of them I have zero interest in hearing.
